The lobster is very good and the drinks I don't know how to say, a great place to eat and relax for a while

It was worth the walk from the center of the beach I didn't want to stay at a place where cab drivers were dropping people off from the port and decided to walk along the beach until I found Chunky Monkey. Great thing is that they don't charge per chair (like other beach clubs), so you can order some food and/or drinks and lounge around as long as you wish (make sure to have your towel).
I had the best guacamole there, no kidding! Super fresh, it was fantastic, the kind of guacamole I expect to try in Mexico. I asked for mezcalita, and to my surprise they didn't know what it was, I had to explain. Paid $40 for 2 drinks and guacamole, including tip. Not too cheap by mexican standards bit I'm sure cheaper than other places that were packed with tourists.
They have outlets all over which is very helpful but wifi wasn't working when I was there.

Mediocre spot at the end of the road. Had some guacamole, piña colada and margarita. Small plate, not very fresh and the margarita tasted like it was pre mixed and overly sweet.

We rented a cart and drove straight here. Got our welcome drink right off. The are was very quiet and but to crowed. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife ordered the chicken tacos. These were by far the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. The fish were tender and had the best flavor. It's a little pricey, but for what you get it's well worth it. Don't waste your time at the Krazy Lobster. That place is not great.

Our trip to Chunky Monkey was amazing. 15 minute cab ride from port. We ordered a whole red snapper made sarandiando style with plenty of grilled onions and peppers. Julio gave us Habanero salsa to go with our meal and the heat just enhanced the fish. The location was tranquil just what my soul was seeking, not to touristy yet quiet with the break of the waves.Unfortunately being on the cruise ship required us to return way to soon. This is a location we will definitely return to.

Five stars across the board!! They're at the end of the "strip" but well worth the drive. When we went, it wasn't crowded at all. We basically had the whole area to ourselves. We had the guac and chips for a light snack. We didn't get in the water because of the tide residue along the shore, and I wasn't keen on getting "jellyfished." Go. You won't regret it.

The fish was incredible. The ocean scenery even better. The best part is that it wasn't super crowded and our server didn't over do it.

How can you possibly go wrong having lunch on the beach in Mexico?? This is WAY off the beaten path, but worth the drive down the bumpy road.

We came here after renting a golf cart to get away from the crowded beach bars. We ordered drinks and food. When the bill came we realized we were being scammed. The USD amounts listed on the food had increased by $1, no big deal. Then there was a 15% tax, the only place we saw this. The conversion ratio they were using was also inflated by 15%. We had to pay an extra $30USD or 510MXN just because of their fees. This is unfortunate as this was our third time visiting over the past 2 years. Be weary of the “fees”.
