If you like your seafood fresh, tasty and authentic, this restaurant, a block away from the beach, is well worth seeking out in Mahahual. I have eaten there twice already, and look forward to exploring more of their menu during the rest of my stay. The octopus at lunch today was the best ceviche I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a great deal throughout the region in recent years. The menu is only in Spanish, and unlike restaurants along the playa it is not dependent on cruise ship passengers and their generally unadventurous tastes. Almost all customers are Mexican. Service is pleasant and prices are reasonable. Recommended.

Food is at a decent price compared to the restaurants on the malecon or the main strip which I felt were a rip off. There's plenty of food to choose from and the prices are in Mexican pesos. The staff is courteous and friendly.

If you really want homemade meals, that's the place. The restaurant is super local and there are 2 lovely ladies preparing the meals. They don't speak English and the payment accepted is cash. We had the soup of the day and the shrimps empanadas and both super tasty. Also, they are open for breakfast and lunch

Wonderful unpretentious food served in a wonderful unpretentious place. The restaurant is primarily a two-man team, so service can be slow, but the hospitality is excellent and the delicious seafood is very reasonably priced. The fish in garlic sauce, the shrimp diablo and the shrimp omelette are all excellent. The restaurant also has wifi. If you want to avoid the pricier options on the beach and still want seafood, this is one of the best options.

This is one of the best restaurants in Mahahual. First of all, the prices are extremely fair and an excellent value for the quality and amount of the food. The fish and shrimp dishes are delicious and excellently priced. The fish/shrimp omelet is amazing. This is a place where everything on the menu is guaranteed to be prepared with care. The atmosphere is completely unpretentious and there is free wi-fi as well. Very worth the visit.
