Massive scam. Running a deal with the staff at the port where they make promises of certain prices, but I promise you your bill will have minimum $50 added. I ordered 5 items for $25, $25, $25, $15, and $10, and somehow my card was charged for $150. I also tipped $20 in cash so I paid $170 for $100 worth of services. Dishonest scumbag people.

If you go online, there are package deals for Big Mama's. I travel a lot and always go to Big Mama's. For $65 prepaid I got the Best hour of massage I have ever gotten. The absolute best Pico de Gallo to die for. A full lunch and unlimited drinks. There are different prices for different packages. Or if you pay as you go.

DO NOT GO HERE! You will be lied to from the cab driver at the port on. They are all in on it and cruise ships should put out a bulletin to all passengers to stay away. They lied about a free drink, they lied that crazy lobster was full, they lied about the cost of food and anything extra. They look for any way to take your money so just avoid it at all costs period. The food was terrible as were the drinks/ My bill was double what I added up and they blame everyone else, yet they are all in on it. DO NOT GO

You need to be very careful when paying the bill. The waiter (Jimmy) asked me if how I would like to pay. I said Credit Card. So, he charged 10% more due to the credit card without telling me and also used a different exchange rate to convert. I ended up paying much more. Beer was expensive and the food normal. I would never comeback to this place again.

Don’t go very poor service. our waiter. Willy was very nice but not very attentive. Drinks did not taste good sent one back it even worst . They charge $15 just to sit. We paid even got up and left was so poor. Went down to krazy lobster. Is was great

Lovely beach, great food, good service This was a cruise stop for us. Took a cab from the port to the Malecon. Many of the restaurants have beach access for the price of food and beverages you get chairs/ loungers and beach. The beach here has a barrier so no seaweed problem. White Sandy beach. Our server, Pepe’, drew us in. The beer was icy cold and the food delicious. We had Chicken nachos, some friends had fajitas. Both were outstanding.
SO dishonest! Raoul was AWFUL to us! Avoid at all costs! We wanted to go to Mahahual with our family. I told our driver we were only going to be there for an hour and didn’t want to use chairs or services. Just plop our towels on the beach in between restaurants and swim for a bit. But the driver took us to Big Mama and wouldn’t drive further. Raoul met us and said we could come and said we could sit in their chairs for FREE. I told him we didn’t want to but he said, “Other places charge you to sit in chairs. We don’t. Only order food if you want. No pressure.” We sat down in the chairs and were enjoying the beach. We talked about staying longer and order lunch later. But right as we were saying that a waiter came up and said we hadn’t ordered enough (at that point we’d just ordered drinks) and that we had to leave or pay $5 per person. I told him to get Raoul because he’d told us we didn’t have to order. He said, “Don’t you know nothing in Mexico is free?!” Raoul came up, looked at us and said,”Just get out.” WOW. We honestly would have been happy to pay $5 per person had we been told that up front. THE DECEPTION WAS JUST INTOLERABLE.

It is cheaper to eat and drink in Miami. The menu is shady and does not reflect what they will charge you. If you take a taxi from the ship, you will be conveniently dropped to this restaurant where as soon as you get off the car someone will take you over and offer you beach chair and table. Food and service is ok but not great, instead you will pay more than dining in US or Europe. It is the kind of place they do not want returning customers so beware.
