Lovely little spot that’s right next to the beach front. Typical food from Oaxaca and it’s a nice change from all the extremely expensive places in Mahahual. Cheap, Hearty and Lots of vegetarian options. The workers are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. 10/10 experience.

Vegetarian options: Just need to ask

Very tasty traditional Oaxacan food with LOTS of vegetarian options! And a very good price too! I’m rolling back stuffed to my hotel with a cup of semi warm hot chocolate.

Vegetarian options: Almost all the items could be made vegetarian!

Avoid this place if there are cruise ships docked as they have a special "cruise day menu" with highly inflated prices and will refuse to give you the local menu. Drinks are more than they are on cruise ship. $15 for a frozen drink and $5 for a half a beer (mini). $19 for a plate of chips with small little containers one salsa, nacho cheese and guacamole. This place is a total rip off, just out to price gouge cruise ship passengers.

Authentic and delicious traditional food, the best of Mahual, I wish I had a bigger stomach to have eaten more ?

Vegetarian options: In the variety of dishes they have options of mushrooms or nopales for the stews of the appetizers

Kid-friendliness: It is an intimate place with a calm atmosphere.

Wheelchair accessibility: You can enter from the side of the boardwalk, it has pavement

Food quality is a 5. But the service is slow, and they forget the order. So, just be patient of you are coming. The Tlayuda is the Tlayuda ?

Vegetarian options: You need to ask for special ingredient combination.

Kid-friendliness: It's a familiar environment, beanches outside. So no risk for kids.

Absolute insider tip for authentic food from Oaxaca. The prices are great, the food is delicious and the service is very friendly. There are also pictures of the dishes, which is great if you're not familiar with Oaxacan cuisine. If you like going to authentic restaurants where locals also eat, then you've come to the right place.

Vegetarian options: On request, the dishes can also be prepared vegetarian, for example with cactus and mushrooms instead of meat.

Many locals come here to eat. They have Authentic Oaxacan food with cooks coming all the way from Oaxaca. It is yummy and very cheap. You should try the giant quesadillas and the aguas frescas (horchata de coco and piña). I love their empanadas (fried corn dough filled with queso, pollo or minced meat). Ideal for breakfast or dinner.

The food is so-so, the tacos have very little meat, the flavor is so-so but I find it expensive since it is more tortilla than meat, the empanadas are tasteless and the lettuce tasted like soap, the ground meat is very, very greasy, the sauces have a variety and are good, the attention is good they are friendly but I don't like the flavor

THE hidden gem of Mahahual (which in general lacks cheap local food options). Good authentic food, very cheap, family-like atmosphere. Not sure the location is right here on Google Maps, but you'll find it.

Amazing (and affordable) food. Nice atmosphere, and a nice change from all the fancy and expensive stuff.

Authentic Oaxacan flavor. Food at an excellent price. Nothing falls heavy (not even the little chocolate that could be strong from the milk). Varied menu and adapt to your tastes. Excellent prices and the attention is very friendly. They work in the morning and at night. They rest on Wednesdays.
