Great place, very welcoming service and an awesome vibe. I had the pizza with proscutto and gorgonzola with some chilli oil. Loved it.

The best pizza I’ve had in a long time, delicious 😍 the host is really friendly, atmosphere is great and its location is right in the city centre. Highly recommend!

Caruso Hostaria Pizzeria is a true gem in Playa del Carmen. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and outstanding service—attentive, quick, and incredibly friendly.

The food? Absolutely fantastic! Every bite was a testament to authentic Italian craftsmanship. The lasagna was rich and perfectly layered, the spaghetti with meatballs had that comforting, homemade touch, and the stuffed ravioli with Gorgonzola was an explosion of flavor. Each pasta dish was cooked to perfection—al dente with remarkable depth in every bite.

What made the experience even more special was the thoughtful detail of providing crayons and coloring pages for our daughter, ensuring a delightful time for the entire family.

Even on vacation, kids sometimes crave a good pizza. This place promises authentic Italian recipes. We got the burratta and pesto pasta, which was made really well. The salat was also very good. We did not like at all the pepperoni pizzas. The dough was not well made, the sause very waterrt and undercooked, the pepperoni was not a real one. I hope they could improve the authenticity as the prices of the pizzas are too high for the quality

The food is not great. The pizza was decent, 3/5, but the pasta had almost no taste 1.5/5… servers used their phones and forgot my order, and spent time showing each other Tik tok videos instead..

We have been coming to playa del carmen for 20 years and have tried many restaurants during that time. We have walked by this restaurant a few times over the last few visits but never stopped. We read the reviews and decided we needed to take the time to eat here - boy are we glad we did. The pizza is phenomenal and the crust what you find at a top pizza restaurant in the states- it’s chewy and crisp and the sauce is flavorful and the cheese is real. We also ordered a carbonara which was excellent with homemade noodles and a flavorful sauce. The staff is friendly and helpful and I won’t be walking by this restaurant again I look forward to coming back many times more.

We saw their reviews for good Italian food and we were absolutely pleased by this quaint little place. We shared delightful house Sauvignon Blanc, a charcuterie plate, fresh bread with olive oil and bruschetta toast. The service was so attentive and welcoming to give us a delightful dinner evening. We’d absolutely recommend and would enjoy returning again.

They offer a Roman pizza style, which is, in this case of oval shape. The dough for roman style pizza is originally made of soft wheat flour, water, yeast, salt and olive oil, which results in a completely different experience from eating a Napoli - style pizza.
Their Caruso pizza with pistachio was really nice. Ingredients were fresh and the service was nice.
