Cassa Ceviche

We kept hearing about how great this place was, everyone, I mean everyone said its the best ceviche in Playa "you have to go".

Having had ceviche in almost every place in Playa but here, I had to finally go.

We didn't like it. Felt the cuts of fish were too big and my plate had a bit of a fishy smell. If even get a whiff of fish I'm done. However, the tiger milk version of sauce was really good which made it eatable.

Then what I call the "fillers" like corn were not good, lacked flavor and really didn't go with the ceviche.

The presentations were spot on amazing, love it. The service was great too along with the atmosphere, all were great.

Would we go here again, nope. There are much better places in Playa with better tasting ceviche.

Phenomenal experience here. Drinks and food that will leave you feeling like you've made contact with a completely next level chef and mixologist but at incredibly reasonable prices. I had the pleasure of being served by the owner himself. Torn between menu items, I was eager to pick his brain on recommendations and he was patient and kind enough to give me feedback that I graciously accepted. I ordered the Mayan Ceviche with a custom alteration on one of the listed cocktails, each of which were exceptional. Great service, wonderful aesthetic inside.. Planning to go again and sample much more on the menu, I don't think you could go wrong with anything, and I cannot possibly recommend this location more highly.

Cool ambiance and decor, overpriced food, and small amounts of protein. They didn't bother to mention they can only charge a credit card over 500 pesos. Overall, I would skip this place as other offers in Playa del Carmen are better value for money

The worst restaurant where I ate on my vacation in Mexico, I ordered the fried chicken with potatoes and it was super hard and dry.
I ordered a bottle of water and it cost me almost the same as the plate of food, $140!

Probably the most expensive ceviche I've gotten in PDC and also the smallest portion. It's rare that I spend $30 on a appetizer size ceviche, soft drink and tip and am still hungry, but not rare here. If you are expecting a Mexican size ceviche portion, you will sorely disappointed. Peruvian ceviche is the best, but I'll stick with other Peruvian establishments - Inka Cocina, Inti, or Macchu Picchu restaurant. Larger menus and PORTIONS.
