Think of it as the movie the menu without the ending.. Keep in mind that there is no menu to look at, and it doesn't look like a restaurant from outside. Keep an open and adventurous mind and s earch for this place like a valued treasure, and you will not be disappointed.

Found this through Google maps. No sign outside. I posted a photo of the entrance. Black gate on the right (next to the gated stairs). You need to speak at least some Spanish. A seafood set menu (350 pesos) with a lot of food for 1 person. Other reviewers mentioned an omakase tasting menu experience and that was spot on. :) The taste was like home cooked food and I felt like I was dining in a local’s home.

You know you're in for a great experience when you're not even sure you're at the right place because there's no restaurant sign outside.The seafood is absolutely delicious and tender, and it comes at a reasonable price compared to places on 5th Avenue or in other countries like Canada. The service is excellent and fast!The owner is really cool, and we even got to pet his pet caiman.Venturing out of the touristy spots in Playa del Carmen gives you the chance to discover gems like this restaurant. Give it a try!

I don’t want to hype this up too much but honestly this was a once in a lifetime experience. Walking up to the door. No sign. Yelling inside and asking (in my rudimentary Spanish) is this a restaurant? Are you open?Only to have the gates of mariscos heaven open up for me.Omakase style tasting menu. You get what you get. And what you get is some of the freshest seafood available. Executed well and in a humble environment. Seriously so good.In order to find it you need to park and walk to the google maps location. There is NO SIGNAGE AT ALL. It’s the black gate next to the black gate in front of a staircase.It exists.
