Cocina económica "Los cuates"

I love this hotel and restaurant. You can dine and enjoy the glorious views of the ocean all at the same time. The staff are always so friendly greeting you with the biggest smiles and friendliness. They are very attentive and helpful always. The hostess Zaira and the waitress Tevesitta were very pleasant to talk to. They constantly came by to check in which was very helpful. The food was of course very good as well.

The food was so delicious. My adult son said that the pork with green chili is the best he has ever had. My pork with bean soup was great. The meals come with soup and a drink. Fabulous staff.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt hotel for one week and therefor we ate at La Cocina more often. All in all, it is a fantastic restaurant with a magnificent view. The friendly staff provided us with delicious and locally authentic food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, the breakfast buffet was great! Especially Miguel and Teresita made our stay more enjoyable by remembering our names and which coffee or juice we like to drink. I recommend anyone who visits playa del carmen and stays at the Grand Hyatt to eat at La Cocina!

My husband, toddler and I had a nice dinner here our last night in Playa. The view was amazing and food was so yummy. Gorge made us a couple fancy, delicious drinks and German took great care of us!

Great family friendly environment. We enjoyed a great meal and dessert. Service was wonderful and prompt. We will be back!

This restaurant is amazing! I had the best breakfast ever everyday while staying in Grand Hyatt Hotel! Walter treated me like a Princess ? and surprised me with excelente dishes every morning! The service is definitely 5 star de Luxe! Everyone was wonderful especially Walter! El Amor del lugar ♥️♥️♥️

I think you can order off the menu too but they have a great breakfast buffet well stocked with fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh juices, omelet bar, etc. The coffee is good and Teresita gave us great service every day.

We were celebrating a special ovation with my wife, where we want to highlight the quality of the food, especially the octopus tacos, and the wonderful attention of the waiter William and the supervisor Leonardo. He recommended some dishes from which we chose the pork bale. Which was absolutely delicious! We hope to return to the hotel and the restaurant in the near future.

We stayed at Grand Hyatt for two weeks and was a pleasure to meet all of La Cocina staff - they were amazing with all of us. The food is great, a lot of options to all tastes. The night shows were also really nice! Special thanks to: Rosario, Walter, Julio, Willian, Hector, Dario, Jorge, Roger, Pablo, Diego - and all the staff behind La Cocina! You made our stay much better!

Many times, we get tired of the same menu at typical resorts. Not at La Cocina! We would visit for breakfast and lunch almost every day, and we loved every experience. The breakfasts had a wide variety of options, and lunch was always a perfect break in between pool time. While the food is really good, I have to say the staff is even better. One of our favorite staff members was Teresita - we instantly felt like family and she remembered us from previous visits. It is the people who make places really special, and La Cocina is no exception. Add in a fantastic menu and an incredible view, and it is instantly a favorite we are already missing.

not tasty, shrimps are dry and not tasty at all, octopus even couldn't find it, probably mentioned in many just for price because only pork belly was found on a plate. Guacamole, oh guacamole I tried much better in US than in Mexico. Service is excellent, no complaints at all. please improve your food, don't be cheap

We loved our dining experience at LaCocina and Yairo took great care of us! The salmon with grilled avocado sauce was a delicious appetizer! And the MudSlide cocktail as well as the apple streudel dessert were amazing. There’s a chocolate dome dessert that I can’t remember the exact name of that was divine.

Restaurant Cocina was wonderful for breakfast lunch and dinner during our stay. Beautiful views of the ocea every day! Mexican food and modern food were both delicious and fresh. The quesadilla station at breakfast is not to be missed. The best thing is a friendly, attentive service. William and Yairo and Eduardo in the evening and Teresita at breakfast is always a joy to chat with. Thank you for everything.

Couldn’t have asked for better accommodations and hospitality. The staff at the Grand Hyatt is amazing, and a special shout-out to Teresita y Jorge Vazquez a la cocina for making our anniversary extra special. ❤️ We will absolutely be back!
