There is a lack of personnel with experience in the service, the "Waiters" ask the Helpers to remove, remove and remove things from the table without asking the diner, can I remove this? There is an obvious lack of cooking in the service, which at the time is uncomfortable and you stop enjoying your time at dinner or lunch. The truth is that it is excellent in all its dishes and if it were not for this, I would not recommend it to acquaintances and foreign visitors. I wish they could fill this profile in the service, I reiterate their dishes are 10 out of 10.

Excellent service and cleanliness, we ordered pizzas, ravioli and salad with exquisite taste, affordable prices, recommended place.
The food is very delicious. We ordered Greek salad, some ravioli with spinach and a pizza. They serve you bread at the beginning that you accompany with oil and balsamic vinegar. It is one block from 5th Avenue. You could almost say it's outdoors, you can see people passing by on the street. We went to dinner. Good attention.

Food was good. There a different menu options but not many gluten free options.
Pizza is made in a brick oven so it will take some time to be served. They give you a basket of garlic bread to wait which was good. Prices as great, not too expensive.
Facility looks nice and clean.
There was a live marimba band playing which was nice.
Service is not so great. I ordered 1 pepperoni pizza and a greek salad.
Only the pizza arrived. I asked about my salad and the chef forgot to make it so I asked them not to prepare it. The pizza had already taken 40 mins to be served. I was limited in time.
My friend is a slow eater. I had finished before her. The waitress took my plate away without asking if I had finished and when my friend was talking, her plate was
Taken away as well. They didn’t asked if we were finished!
The service needs improvement. I left with a bad impression of the restaurant.

Excellent place to dine!
The attention from Iván was very nice and from the girl who was on duty.
The service was very fast even though they had a good influx of people.
The Espresso, delicious.
I recommend the hazelnut and lemon gelatto; The pesto ravioli with spinach filling were delicious.
I hope next time to try the pastas and pizzas.

The best Italian food I have ever had in my life, I am a chef and this place is my new favorite place in Playa del Carmen!! The service is excellent and the attention of the guys, especially Iván, is first class. Keep in that way!!!

First timer to the area (We are from the US), My family and I were in search of pizza when we discovered Don Mario and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. First off Ivan the host and the staff provided stellar service. Now for the food the pizza and lasagna was freaking AWESOME. We were looking at other patrons plates which looked amazing as well. We would highly recommend getting out of the resorts zone to visit the shops and other restaurants much better food and way more affordable than inside the zone. The cab service was readily available and prompt when needed and cheap. Don't be afraid to adventure out of the zone cause there is alot to offer. People of all walks of life were down there enjoying themselves. Highly recommend Don Mario pizzeria. Enjoy!

The place is nice and well located, the pizza is very delicious and thin, we ordered two pastas which were a bit hard. The staff seems to rush you, not very friendly, they clean the table and remove napkins that you are using, I understand that cleaning is adequate at meal time, but they constantly arrange your table, they get between the plates to clean. I understand that the staff has to be friendly or that was their intention, but they told us “bro, buddy”, which I wouldn't take badly if it was good service, you asked them for instructions on how to bill and they just pointed at you, it wasn't friendly at all. .
