The presentation of each entree was fantastic and you get the entire three course meal experience each time you dine.
Restaurant does offer wine selection at additional price or you can order your regular drinks at no additional cost.
The food lacks flavor. I think it’s done on purpose to satisfy the majority of the folks staying at the resort, unfortunately I love flavorful food and was a bit disappointed.
The seafood was good but the steak was chewy and not prep to the desired temperature.

“Great location, great service and great food! We had to check this place out before we left PDC, and we didn’t regret it. First of all, the salsas were the best. Our particular favorite was the habanero (Mayan style), the Serrano was a close 2nd with the 7 chiles last but definitely not least. We tried the shrimp broth, which was amazing, it had a full crab in it, which was a pleasant surprise. The ceviche mixto was tasty and the aguachile hijas didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed our experience. It was nice to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by on 5th Ave.“

“The truth in terms of cost/benefit is a super place. Ribs and roast chicken are the two main dishes, including rice, beans and tortillas in all orders. The place to eat there is small so takeout is the best option. They also have very rich tasting waters.“

I ordered a medium-rare entrail with rustic potatoes, it was very juicy and delicious. My companion ordered a simple chicken Milanese with French fries, a good portion. “We had an excellent experience visiting Casa Sofia. The food was quick, and more than delicious. We appreciate that they have vegan and lactose-free options which we found equally tasty. The quality-price ratio was exceptional, we were surprised to pay such a good price considering the quality of the product and the central location. Simple, you get two options, chicken or ribs. Expertly cooked, the chicken is super tender and the rub they use is made in house, fresh and all natural.
The real food in PDC is on la 30 and the locals know it as there’s always a line here.“

“This is a little mom and pop corner eatery. They make the food right there. I have only had the ribs/costillas, but I have had them three times. Very inexpressible. No frills. Open air. 3-4 tables. Really more of a take out place. The ribs do not look like the picture or ribs that we eat in the US. They are from that general area of the pig and they taste great. I have not tried their sauce.

Parking: Parking on the side streets, not on 30th.“

“We lived in Mexico for thirty years and have a wide experience on mexican food. We ordered duck tacos, really tasty and well filled. Also guacamole with chapulines, the chapulines on a side dish for those who didnt like them. Also fresh and appetizing. For a child we ordered a steak with rice and salad. The steak was superb, and the salad out of the ordinary. Huachinango was the special fare of the day. We received a whole fish, perfectly cooked and smoked, with a nice sauce on it, and although it was said it was thought for three persons, it was enough for four. Delicious!. On the side was again rice and salad served, but a different one of the offered with the steak. The waiter was very helpful and attentive. The prices were high, but the meal was worth it.“

“Food is a bit hit or miss. Some dishes are fantastic (beef kabobs), some are so so (eggplant dip flavor was mediocre and cauliflower dish is a bit overcooked even though the flavor was excellent). Pita chips are too hard here.

Service is fantastic. My little one was super tired and fell asleep. I asked for the dishes to come out faster and they literally got to the table in 5-10 minutes. And offered towel and pashmina to keep her warm when she took a snooze at the restaurant.

During some nights, it can get very breezy here. Maybe best during lunch time.

The theme is Lebanese tapas. The burgundy by the glass was solid but need to wait for it to warm up from refrigerated temperature for the aroma to blossom.“
