This is one of the few restaurants in Playa that I go to frequently as it’s always tasty, with consistent quality and service, which is hard to find here. I have tried many things on the menu, my favorite would have to be their appie Samosa Chaat. It is made with tiny pieces of samosas cut up mixed w garbanzo and drizzled with a tangy mint, yogurt & tamarind chutney dressing. It’s addictive and I crave it all the time. The chicken tikka masala and the garlic butter naan bread with rice is also my go to dish. Love this place. The fact that I chose this place to celebrate my last 2 birthdays in a row says a lot! The owners are always there to make sure you have a great experience. I always bring new friends to try it and they always want to go back! Thank you for this delicious cuisine, it is obvious you put your heart and passion into the cuisine flavors. ❤️

You Must Go There!!! We were walking by on our way to another restaurant and happened to look up and saw this restaurant (on second floor). So happy we did!!! The food was authentic and delicious!!! The service from the staff was top tier! We even met the owners and had a wonderful conversation! One of a kind experience and we will definitely be returning!!! One of the Best eating experiences of our 2 weeks in Playa!

Recently dined at India Jones while on vacation in Riviera Maya. After being in the resort and eating non-Desi for almost 6 days India Jones truly hit the spot.
YES, we hadn’t had proper Indian food in almost a week, but the team at India Jones knocked it out of the park with their amazing, flavorful, and delectable desi cuisine.
I was not expecting such exceptional Indian cuisine in Mexico. I say this having tried Indian food around the world, and it’s very easy to mess up Indian cooking. But India Jones knows good food.
We tried over variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, each had their own individual tastes and flavor profiles. Highly recommended India Jones.

I liked it a lot, it is the first time I have tried Indian food, and I have a good experience in the flavor and seasoning, I recommend the Chicken Tikka Trio, which are three types of chicken preparation that are also sold separately. With two of us standing, we spent approximately $1,300 without counting the tip. The only detail is that it doesn't have an elevator, or at least I didn't see it. From then on everything was fine.

The waiter took the time to explain the dishes and give us recommendations to try. The atmosphere is pleasant, there is a variety of food and drinks on the menu. We tried Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Trio and the Cocktail Samosas.
They have vegan options too.

This is probably the best beach restaurant.
We ordered the entree that includes the 3 chickens on the menu, what a delight and even more so if it is accompanied with a bread (whose name I don't remember) and rice with cumin.
An important consideration: The additional sauces are expensive, we were asked if we wanted one and we opted to try it, the sauce cost $210 bringing our bill to $1,000.
It is important that you know this before ordering, if we had known its value before asking for the bill, we would have asked for the leftover to be packed to go, since we left a lot of the sauce.
We will return every time we can, the service is also excellent.

I was walking down Quinta Avenida and craving Indian food without any directions and lack of planning on my part. Conveniently, I looked up and saw “India Jones: An Indian Culinary Journey”… the ambiance was welcoming and intimate; the aesthetic and decor was that of modern Indian influence. They have space for indoor and outdoor dining with a balcony and partitioning to combine the spacing.
I dined alone (as I was traveling solo), the customer service was AMAZING! The owners were in attendance and the staffing was efficient and attentive!
The menu explained in detail the ingredients of each dish, there were many options I was interested in, but it was just me! I ended up getting the Butter Chicken with Garlic Butter Naan and Kerala Style Vegetable Stew! Honestly speaking, THE BEST Butter Chicken I’ve had on this continent! So rich and flavorful with chicken so tender! The accompanying naan was PERFECT! The vegetable stew was coconut milk based and honestly my favorite stew to date, with the accompanying Basmati rice cooked to the truest texture!
This was my 4th time in PDC and I honestly am kicking myself that I hadn’t found them sooner! But they are DEFINITELY in my must visit, as I plan to visit PDC more frequently! Thank you India Jones for the culinary journey!

The food was very disappointing considering the really high reviews and the price. The paneer was hard and chewy and the flavour on the Shaihi paneer was mediocre, spicy, and did not match the flavour profile of this dish. The Dal Makhani was average. The only good thing was the butter naan, as it was freshly made. The butter chicken was rubbery, the sauce was wrong (with no cream) and spicy when we asked non-spicy. The portions were small for the price. However, the service was really good.

I was recently in Playa del Carmen for a scuba trip and a friend recommended India Jones. She posts photos all the time and it always looks so delicious. I met a few friends there, and it was all of our first time. We tried the Burrata Papdi Chaat and Dohra Khumb to start. For our meals we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Lamb Shank Curry, Biryani, Tandoori Naan and the Khameeri Tandoori Naan. Everything was out of this world! We ate way to much and would have eaten more if physically able! Absolutely recommend if you like Indian food. The restaurant was quiet, clean, and all of the staff were great.

This restaurant is a gem! The food and service is remarkably the best. We were a party of 24. Sanat and Namrata went out of their way to make the dining experience as smooth as possible. We all left with happy bellies and smiling faces! Sanat Ji, our family wishes you the best of luck! We hope to dine in again.

First we headed to Aryan but they closed it early so then we googled and found India Jones. Glad we did as the food and service here was impeccable. We were a vegetarian family of 6 and loved the food here a lot. Service was quick and friendly. Tons of vegetarian options. I would recommend trying Vegetarian Biryani, Paneer Tikka Masala, Vada pav, Samosas and Chole. Delicious and very well made. Would highly recommend visiting here for Indian delicacies.
