Food was old. Ordered taco’s and fajita’s. Didn’t taste or look fresh at all. Chicken in flautas was terribly dry. Like eating sand.

Ate at the Hacienda on are last night at the resort. The service was good, we had Reyes, he was attentive to us and many other tables. When he was unavailable we had 3 other waiters approach are table to check on us. The food at the hacienda was not near as good as the steakhouse, Italian and the oriental. The dishes where lacking flavour and the robustness expected from Mexican culinary.
Our favorite meal of the trip! The Aztec soup and melted cheese were excellent!!!!!! We had burritos, enchiladas, flautas, and Huarache norteno and they were all authentic and extremely tasty!

We were given a shredded beef tostada as a special appetizer and can't say how great it was. They had aguas frescas and ponche that I'm sure most tourists skip. I recommend you try them. The tampiqueña (steak) was cooked to the temperature I ordered. The ceviche was decent but you might need to add some salt, lime, and salsa.

Started off with their “welcome margarita” which was a blended cucumber margarita and it was delicious. The food was also great and well portioned. Our server Ezequiel was quick and took great care of us. Great place to have dinner overall
Excellent Mexican restaurant in taste and service. The best place to eat in the hotel in my opinion
The Mexican restaurant is a must visit for people who like Mexican food! Lots of food and we were full when we left. This is important to note as other a la carte restaurants that I have been to (Not at the Occidental) you feel like going to the Buffet afterwards just to fill yourself up. The food was delicious and I recommend going at least once while you stay.

We visited this place during the off-season, and the front desk staff told us we did not have to reserve. We ended up going here after we were turned down from El Pescador. We had a two-hour wait to eat bland and frozen Mexican food—big props to all the hard-working staff trying to make the best of bad management. The food we ordered.1)Trío enchiladas2)Mole3)Tampiquena4)Steak burrito5)Flautas6) pulpo tostadas
Regular food and some dishes had a lot of fat, without so much variety for what we have in our gastronomy in the country, the service was saved by Kevin Rodríguez since the delayed service was felt.
Delicious, beautiful place, excellent atmosphere, delicious dishes, attention, excellent service, greetings to chef Javier and all those who work there, I don't know their names, but thank you all
Excellent food, my compliments to chef Jaime.
Rude staff, only tacos and tartas. Mind the dressing code as well. Not all closed shoes are ok - canvas shoes were not ok but leather shoes were ok. Music was so loud that it hurt one’s ears and couldn’t hear what the waiter tried to tell (nor in Spanish or in English). They won’t /cannot turn the volume down. Could not stay in this place and had to leave.
