The food is very delicious. Toasts are my family's favorite. I will definitely continue to recommend them. However, the fact that the waiter comes out after us to yell at us and complain that we didn't tip enough seems disrespectful to me. The tip is suggested, not mandatory, and above all, the tip is considered gratitude from the customer to the waiter for their service. In this case the service had not been good.

Excellent service and quality, variety of super delicious toasts, prices are reasonable. The place is very well located on 5th avenue.
I definitely recommend it, you can't go to the beach without trying the tuna toast, it was my favorite.

I expected better quality in the toasts and music
I can't believe I passed this place at least a thousand times when I lived in Playa and not once did I stop by. Shame on me! This place is everything!! I have NEVER tasted a tostada so freaking delicious!!! Please don't make the same mistake I made...GO THERE RIGHT NOW!

Mandatory stop.
It makes you feel the vibe of Playa del Carmen from the moment you sit down, well-selected music, cozy atmosphere and dishes that will fill you with flavor in every bite, from the Caramel Tuna or Shrimp toast, to the Tuna Pastor Taco, you have them. What to try, we were surprised by their Mezcal, of very good quality and perfect in a Mezcalita with natural passion fruit, it is a must to visit them.
The service is very friendly and attentive, there is no loss.

The worst food and service ever. Get over it, they stole $500 from me. We left the total plus tip on the table and left. At the exit the waiter returned to us saying that we were MISSING $500... IT WAS NOT missing. However, because of the embarrassment he put us through and apart from claiming when obviously those $500 were not with the rest of the money, we better give them to the waiter.
JUST GET ABUSED WHEN PAYING!

The best vegan dish I have ever eaten in a restaurant. As a vegan, every time we come to the beaches we eat guacamole and potatoes, I didn't expect this delicacy. I will come every time I go to a place with Hijas de la Tostada to eat the vegan tartare.

I visit Playa del Carmen about twice a year. I’ve been going to Hijas de la Tostada since 2020. I can confidently say this place is in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Playa. It is always my first and last stop when I visit. My favorite tostada is the seared tuna tostada and the taco with the yellow chili.
