The best Greek place in playa del Carmen or even from many places!! Amazing service and the best flavors!! We love to come here at least once in 2 weeks. Just the best place!
The least favorite of our time here. The service was sad as there was only one server while 3 others, who seemed to either work there or owned the place watched him struggle, while smoking and drinking. People waited for tables as this carried on. We literally felt sorry for the guy. We ordered a bottle of wine, out. A second, out. The server felt horrible. Falafel was amazing along with the beautiful vinaigrette that accompanied it. We ordered tapenade which was so salty, we couldn’t eat it and sent back. We then ordered the Greek salad which also salty but edible. Main course was the Santorini fish, pompano, again, so much salt. The mashed potatoes that accompanied the dish was so salty we only took one bite. Although cheap in price, the food was inedible. Will never go back and highly recommend thinking twice about going. If you do, be kind to the server as he plays many parts without support from his staff.
Food and services were excellent. Loved the grilled octopus. Very nice atmosphere and a nice place to hang out away from the sun
Food took an unusually long time to be served and restaurant was not busy. We had hoped that meant that the food would be well worth the wait, but unfortunately that was not the case. I had the meatballs and they were overcooked, the salad was mostly onions with very little dressing and my husband had the shrimp skewers which totaled 4 small shrimp on two skewers, quality not good. There was live music and the entertainer was good but far too loud - we couldn’t talk to our companions and made for an uneasy wait for the food. Our waiter was good, but unfortunately that didn’t make up for the poor quality food and over-long wait - I estimate at least 45 minutes. Lesson learned - don’’t eat Greek food in Mexico!
My wife and daughter went to Milos last year and really enjoyed it so we returned. Service was very slow and the food was 'ok'... nothing great.
My wife and I were craving some good Greek food and after reading reviews decided to give this place a try. The atmosphere was quite good with a Greek feeling. I ordered souvlaka and my wife mousaka. Both meals came cold. My chicken was overcooked but still tasty. We had a couple of cold beers ( the server said they were cold ) but they were warm. The meals would have been much better is they would have been served hot. The meal came to $630, i decided to put on my credit card and the server put through. $6300. Thankfully my wife looked at the receipt and they apologized and refunded me the difference in cash…sure glad we check our receipt.
The ambiance in the restaurant is great with wine bottles hanging from the roof. The service was friendly and prompt, so why won’t we go back? The food was mediocre at best. Beef and chicken souvlaki were both over-cooked and a bit strange tasting. Tzatziki was very thick. Saganaki tasted old and chewy with too much Ouzo poured over the cheese and soaking into the pita. Greek salad was not very Greek and the French fries must have been from a frozen bag bought at the grocery store. And it was not cheap…lots of other great choices in the area to choose from.
Having lived in Greece filor 4 years, Greek food is my go to when I want good comfort food. This my second time at this establishment. Both times I brought friends who did not know Greek food. I suggested the Spanakopita as an entree, followed by the Pikilia which is a mixed platter with several typical Greek recipes (Moussaka, Pastitsio, Dolmades, Keftedes, Falafel and more), followed by Baklava for dessert. A wow every time. I cannot even find this back home in Canada!!! If you have a chance when in Playa Del Carmen, it is worth the stop. Owner and son are Greek!
Yum yum yum! We loved everything we ordered. Especially the Ice cold beers in frosted mugs! We’ll be back for sure. Food was served HOT and fresh and cooked perfectly.
I have been living in Playa for 14 years and this place is one of a few which keeps its authenticity without following fancy but empty concepts… every dish is just a great culinary experience, so delicious! I travelled a lot and this place can proudly call itself a little piece of Greece next to a beautiful Caribbean beach! Very recommended, not even speaking about a great service and very personal approach and thematic music… Definitely one of the best restaurants in Playa! Thank you for staying true, to who you are ❤️

Nice place, close to the beach. Excellent service. Lemon chicken was delicious. I recommande this grek restaurant.
Wow, what a shocking disappointment. I have been in Playa for a few weeks now and I eat out every day. All the restaurants have been consistently good with the exception of this one. It was absolutely terrible, I never had a bad Greek food, that was the first one. Thank God I ordered only one dish. It was salmon, please don't bother, it will be bad. I mentioned a few times to the waiter that I wanted it cooked med rare, it was well done. I didn't want to complaint because I didn't see the point. I waited for a piece of fish which usually takes 10 minutes to cook for over an hour. I am not a big eater but even for me the size of that fish was tiny. I couldn't believe my eyes how poor that dish was. A tiny overcooked sad piece of fish with a few leaves of salad on the side. And they charge you 26$ for that. You would pay that in NYC for a good quality fish but in Mexico. Come on. I felt ripped off. But then I read other reviews and I guess I am not the only one. Stay away from this place. Bad quality for a very high price!
A taste of Greek a short walk from the beach. Food was excellent, but the portions were small. Price was fair and the service was very good. Would eT there again
The nice location near the beach on 38th doesn’t quite outweigh the very mediocre food. Spanakopita probably came from Costco judging from the very uniform size and were over baked. The accompanying « Taziki « was over seasoned with garlic. No hint of mint or cucumber and yogurt was the consistency of sour cream. The Santorini style fish was portion controlled, overcooked and dry. The Sauvignon blanc wine was barely drinkable. Service was friendly. That’s it.
Food was good . There was only one waiter working . Felt bad for him the owner sat there smoking cigarette after cigarette and did absolutely nothing to help him out . Empty plates and customers needing service and this guy did nothing while the waiter ran around trying to do eveythjng by himself. It was smoking busy and there is staff in the place but nobody does anything to help the waiter out . He did do a great job but everything was out timed
