Super hotel, amazing food, great service!!! Not at all the mass hotel you find along the coast. Live music and individualized service. The food is absolutely delicious!
100% recommendable - we’ll be back!

Klein paradijs in prachtig Mexico ??. Playa del Carmen om de hoek. Ideale plek om je terug te trekken uit de drukte en tot rust te komen. Heerlijk plek met lief personeel, mooi zwembad en prachtig strand ?️.

Me, my Son and Daughter stayed here for the week for the first time and absolutely enjoyed everything from the food, the scenery, and excellent service here that is welcoming, and very friendly.
It’s also amazing having the beach a few steps away from your room. My family and I plan to come back again soon.
Thank you Petit lafitte!
Rooms: Room was so clean and the AC was working so good no issues.
Safety: Very secure with who comes in and out. All the time when we were going out the guy at the gate asked the room number and when we came back he would check our room number.

Very cozy and small hotel. Food and drinks are always delicious, and the view of the sea from the bungalow is great. The beach is right next door, a bit rocky, but if you walk a little further it is sandier. The staff is always nice and accommodating. There are also many animals there and regular events, for example on Moon Day. Generally very nice atmosphere. Rooms (bungalows) are also clean and air conditioned, just a bit small. Highly Recommended!

The beach club is very nice, the attention from the staff and waiters is excellent.
The food menu is very varied, Saturday and Sunday there are marquesitas and the hammocks are in various parts of the hotel. The beach has many rocks, water shoes are recommended
We had our wedding of 40 guests here in April, and we had what can only be described as the perfect wedding week.
It's certainly scary to book a place, their vendor recommendations and menu sight-unseen (we didn't visit in person beforehand) but Andrea and her team at absolutely nailed every single element, from the food to the decorations to the DJ. They suggested a fantastic photography team (Pink Balance) and managed all the setup and coordination with the florist, hotel staff and other vendors. We sent photos of what we had it mind and they brought all of it to life without a hitch.
The food is phenomenal - the "Kin" menu we picked for the wedding in particular that focuses on dishes specific to the Yucatan we used for our main course was jaw-dropping. The included breakfasts and dinners at the hotel restaurant both were absolutely amazing (probably the best avocado toast I've had anywhere to be honest) but both the menu-based items you can order at breakfast for free and the rotating buffets were a great variety for our week there.
They did a great job making it feel boutique and intimate despite being nestled between much larger, all-inclusive style resorts that really makes their location something special in this area of Playa del Carmen. We had around 40 people at our event and it never felt like there were kids screaming and leaking pink-eye in the middle of our vows while also never feeling like a ghost town. It felt like getting to live in a beautiful neighborhood in paradise with everyone we loved as neighbors; walking between the palms and bungalows made it perfect to catch up with everyone throughout the week.
The staff were incredible, and we can't say enough good things about Andrea, our wedding coordinator, and how she managed all the events. Our guests are still raving about the food, the drinks, the bungalows, and the experience overall. Thank you Petit Lafitte!
Rooms: They have bungalows, which are a fun semi-rustic (air-conditioned, showers and toilets and everything, you just get a porch that leads directly on the beach) affair, in addition to regular hotel rooms which are spacious if generally pretty standard. The bungalows are where its at if you're bringing a group - you basically get to have a tropical neighborhood of huts all to you and your guests, giving a sort of "howdy neighbor!" vibe that is impossible to get going at other places while also maintaining your own sense of privacy too. A hard balance to strike that they absolutely knocked out of the park.
Safety: Very safe and secluded - a gate with a guard and guardhouse cover the main entrance, along with quite a long drive to even get to how far it is at the beach. It felt quite safe the whole time we were there, both inside Playa the city and in the resort.
Walkability: Not super walk-able, its about 20 minutes walking to the nearest 7-11 but the front desk is happy to arrange a shuttle for whatever you might need, and its about 20 minutes by car to the main 5th avenue touristy zone, usually between 200 and 600 pesos.
Food & drinks: The food is absolutely incredible. The rotating dinner menus and the included breakfast were fantastic - the lunches are extra but generally worth it, especially with how affordable everything else was.
Noteworthy details: Excellent boutique hotel offering better service and food than it's larger AI neighbors - a prime spot right on the beach close to easy swimming and water-based fun.

A great little hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and receptive. The food wasn’t just good it was exceptional! The hotel knew what tasteful was- there was music at the pool and beach that was at the right volume. Drinks came in glass not cheap little plastic cups. I can’t say enough about the place.
A few things: It’s a small hotel less than 50 rooms. There aren’t any activities except yoga in the morning. No animator, games, or anything like that. We were there for five days. There was a two man band that played in the afternoon one day. It was far from any stores. The 711 and pharmacy one was a one mile walk or you’d have to go into Playa Del Carmen.
We we looking for a resort that was small, quaint, quiet, and tasteful - Petit Lafit did not disappoint and we can’t wait to go back again
