Really a great place to eat in Playa del Carmen, tremendously affordable prices, delicious and filling food. You shouldn't order two dishes, they are tremendous. I totally recommend it, it was our great discovery during our stay in Playa del Carmen.

Foreigners are given preferential treatment over national tourists, they are served reluctantly and people who are first in line are not given a place, which functions more like a school store: whoever gets in It is gaining place over the one who really arrived on time. The taste is mediocre compared to the price at which it is sold and the managers are very rude to the clientele and their pets. Appalling.

The taste is not bad but the service is very bad, slow and if you are a foreigner they give you priority to assign you a table. It is not PET friendly, even if you leave your dog outside they will get upset. There is no

We went to eat as a family, they find you a place quickly. The very friendly and efficient attention of the staff is a pleasure, because if you are hungry they don't take long to serve you. They give you some snacks while you wait. The food was very tasty, with a charcoal flavor, everything we ordered was great and the quantities were super abundant. The only bad thing is that thanks to the grill it is deadly hot inside. But is it worth it. Totally recommended

Place to eat traditional Mexican cuisine in Playa del Carnen. Everything is super delicious and at a very good price. We have been several times and we have always really liked everything we ordered! Highly recommended place if you are in Playa del Carmen and can try real Mexican food! The price is very good for a European! Place to repeat…

Great service amazing food. In my humble opinion the best food in town. Low key a short walk away from 5thave. You can tell I'm not the only one who feels this way, there are always alot of people.

Just stopped in for a quick cerveza and didn't get food. Friendly staff! The kind gentleman there was happy to help me practice my Spanish skills. ? I highly recommend getting a table upstairs on the balcony so you can view the night life of Quinta avenida.

The little brother from "El Fogon". Authentic Mexican food and cheap. It tastes really good and you get served more than enough per plate so do not overestimate yourself! In case if you do, there is still the possibility of take it home so no problem. Furthermore the crew is very kind, which made the food even better =)

The food was great, the service was great… up until we went to pay, in Mexico a $45USD bill for two drinks and two entrees is fairly high end. I was given the credit card machine and gave a 25% tip, the server handed it back and looked disappointed! He then zeroed it out, said “too little” and gave it back. I thought that was super rude. I as much for a Mexican meal and two drinks as I do in Alaska! Great food, work on the service.

Here’s what this place does not have. Mariachis, dancing girls, monkeys, blasting techno, cloth napkins, any pretensions whatsoever. Here’s why I come back every time I find myself in PDC. The best frijoles I have ever eaten. Seriously if they ever invent Shazam for food I am coming here to plagiarize the hell out of their beans. Also probably their Queso Fundido (loosely translated as the incredible words ‘DEEP CHEESE’). Seriously deep cheese. And then there’s the pickled nopalito they put on your table just cuz. It’s incredible. And we haven’t even gotten to the entrees. All of the meat dishes are great but I recommend you skip fajitas or alambre and get either one of the specials (Chuleta is my pick) or one of the ‘Fine Cuts’ this last time I had a luscious T-Bone. All of which come with aforementioned frijoles, plus rice, cebolla, and more deep cheese. Oh yeah and the Margaritas are fresh and delicious too. Finally I should mention the service. There may be a line but they manage it efficiently. The waiters are fast, precise and professional. I used to own a restaurant and if I had just one of their kitchen staff and one of their waiters, we would still be in business. These hombres are on point. All this and it’s priced locally. We had a big meal with steaks for 4 plus 2 kids including drinks and it was less than $80 US. Don’t bother with the spots on Quinta, make the walk or taxi to the Fogon on Constituyensea and then thank me in your dreams.

I went to the location on Constituyentes with my friends and was assisted by Jose Manuel! He was very attentive and accommodating! He had made sure to make right my strawberry margarita that wasn’t made correctly at the beginning. He also made sure the rest of the order was to our satisfaction! He was great! We will definitely come back because of Jose Manuel! Great job Jose Manuel!
