Zitla Playa

We kwamen hier op maandagavond. Het was vrij rustig in het restaurant.
De ligging is net buiten de drukte van het centrum. Zeer zeker de moeite waard om twee blokken te lopen.
We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en kozen een tafel in de tuin.

Als drankje kozen we de Mojito Mango.
We hebben de taco Gober, Tostada de Atún, Tostada de Salmon en Taco de Cameron.
Heerlijk gegeten.
Let wel op de kleine groene pepertjes. Deze zijn zo pittig dat ze even je smaak papillen uitschakelen.

Kortom: heerlijk gegeten. Goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding.

Excellent option for dinner in Playa del Carmen. Good drinks and a wide variety of foods, with vegetarian options too. The delicious seafood tower. The waiters are very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. There are live bands which makes it even better. 10!!!!

I really liked this place and I used to go with friends to have a good time and enjoy the burgers, cocktails and beer. However, lately the treatment of the waiters is terrible, and from the bill, the establishment tries to force you to leave a tip. They tell you "the service is missing" in a way as insistent as if they were not paid. The Argentinian woman they now have serving the front tables lacks empathy towards customers who are only looking for their tip. But what happens if for personal reasons the customer cannot leave a tip? She just makes faces and leaves the table angrily.
It's a shame they are ruining the place with bad service.

Service was decent, atmosphere was good but food was not very good. Not sure what all the fuss was about. Nachos came with cheese whiz - I mean, come on, for those prices?!? Shrimp tacos were ok. Carne asada was decent but nothing to write home about. I expected more based on the reviews.

An option, if you want to enjoy a good burger in Playa del Carmen, the aguachile was a must since the base was very tomato-y and the red eyes (beer with clamato) I think are the best.

Not sure why this place gets great reviews. Food was over priced and under quality and service was nearly non existent at lunch despite it not being very busy. Hard pass on this.
