The team at balnak did a wonderful job, definitely one of our best dinners at tulum. The service was amazing and the food was incredible. When we come back to tulum we will definitely visit balnak again.
A Must-Visit in Tulum BAL NAK' offers an exceptional dining experience with its stunning jungle setting and top-notch service. The contemporary Mexican cuisine is both creative and delicious, with standout dishes like the duck breast and the chocolata clams . The cocktails are equally impressive, especially the verde jungla. For an unforgettable meal in Tulum, BAL NAK' is a top choice. Highly recommended!
Bal Nak was our best meal in Tulum, the food and service is outstanding. The ambiance is a lot more peaceful and tranquil compared to the rest of Tulum which is good for more relaxed and nice dinners. We Weill definitely come back, the drinks were amazing too!
Unforgettable Dining Experience at BAL NAK' If you're looking for a culinary adventure in Tulum, BAL NAK' is a must-visit. From the moment you step in, the ambiance transports you to an exotic, jungle-like setting, perfect for a memorable dining experience. The food at BAL NAK' is nothing short of spectacular. The chef's creative approach to contemporary Mexican cuisine shines through with every dish. Each plate is a work of art, showcasing fresh, local ingredients and innovative flavors. Standout dishes include the perfectly grilled octopus and the succulent pork belly confit. Don't miss the Mexican Elderberry cocktail—it's a masterpiece on its own! The service is exceptional, with a team that genuinely cares about your experience. They offer detailed explanations of the dishes and are attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance is equally impressive, combining elegant decor with a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for a fantastic meal, BAL NAK' is a top choice. It's a hidden gem that deserves recognition and should be on every Tulum itinerary. Highly recommended!
Super cool restaurant and bar with great food, both in terms of presentation and taste, and very friendly staff. The cocktails are priced a bit on the higher end but totally worth it. Everything is made with local products and things you may have never had before, such as Mayan spinach. Would definitely recommend.

Ok, this is a cute restaurant, service is good, BUT! What’s the deal with the portion size? We had ribs, they weren’t bad (not great either tbh), but the menu said they come with vegetables, well, by that they meant two tiny see-through slices of zucchini. And the portion was so tiny, it’s an appetizer size at best, we were both still hungry afterwards. I get fancy restaurants and their tiny portions, and I’m not big on reviews, but I felt compelled to write this because for the first time in my life I was leaving the restaurant hungry. And the price was $650 which is around $38, so between two of us we dropped $100 on a meal only go get somewhere else to eat afterwards. Talk about not getting value.

Location is complicated, too many cars, taxis and people walking around. Very young crowd, loud. Ambiance too many bushes trees brushing on your table if you sit outside. The price on food outrageous prices for the amount of food you receive.
Excellent experience! the food perfectly cooked with very Mexican ingredients, the drinks very original and delicious. The service from Santos was excellent, I would definitely return and/or recommend the restaurant.

Really wanted to be blown away by Bal Nak, but it just didn’t deliver. We did show up without a reservation to be fair, but shouldn’t really affect anything. A large party was in the back area and had ordered all the beer and wine, so limited options if you don’t want to spend 300-350mx for a cocktail.
The coconut ice cream was the star of the show. WOW. The shrimp was also good. We had heard the octopus was the best in the Yucatán, but had a neighboring restaurant the night before and think it was superior. Broccoli was good, but felt pricey for what it was.
The craziest bit was that the restaurant fills its seats back (jungle seating) to front (bar seating, visible from the street). For the four nights we stayed on the hotel strip, we never saw more than 4 people seated on the street side which was just horrible for the vibe.

DO NOT SLEEP ON Bal Nak!!! Had a wonderful time. We ate here back in 2022 and loved it. The Octopus is still the show stopper (best we had in Tulum) and the drinks were amazing. Steak was tender and the black garlic puree was tasty. The only minus was I wish our roasted broccoli had a little more char. Will come every time we are in the area.
