Terrible service. Always check how much they charge you for tips. I selected 10% as it is a normal service and the waiter secretly changed it to 18.5% without notifying me.

The prices are incredibly high. The food is terrible, not possible to eat. Very hot to sit there and also because of open fire a lot of smog. We had 2 glasses of wine and two starters for 100€. So if u wanna waste money it’s a good way to do it.

DO NOT COME HERE
This place severely ripped my friends and I off. We ordered vodka sodas and they charged us $27 USD each for a vodka soda. We were in disbelief. We questioned this with our waiter and then his manager. They told us they charged us separately for a “vodka shot” and then the “soda”. This was never disclosed to us when ordering. They told us it was correct. I live in New York City and have never paid this much for a vodka soda. Do not come here! They will take advantage of you. Receipt attached here for proof

Was incredible from the first hello till the check.
The mollejas are just breathtaking, the vacio could be cut with a spoon and the octopus salad was just to die for.
They turn on some Copal in the middle of your dinner so even your nose is paying attention.
The panqueques with dulce de leche are perfect!

Loved Casa Banana! Very attentive service staff, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was just right. Yes, there was music playing, not too loud, and prices were not so budget friendly, but this is Tulum in 2024, what else do you expect? I got the rib-eye which was cooked to perfection, and the sides were delicious. I would have gone back if we had a longer stay.
