We booked…. We reconfirmed the booking 1 day before etc…. Locals told us the place have been closed for 2 weeks… potentially permanently I don’t know. Not serious

Avoid this place if you don't want to be SCAMMED AND EXTORTED!!! We entered and they told us the price of a bottle, they kept my identification and card, to pay at the "end", when I wanted to pay because I needed my card to buy at the bar (since there was no service, they didn't even bring us soft drinks for the bottle, 3 hot cans and all of the same, not even the ones I ordered) but they charge you for the service and good!! At that moment the nightmare began, my bill increased by 6000 pesos, for 2 hot cans, a water and service. We refused to pay them and they put me in a room to enter the card pin. I paid but my friends complained and the person in charge, who was full of drugs, told us that they had made a mistake telling us the price of the bottle and that that was their price. I asked for the price list and they didn't even have it. Finally we got 3000 pesos back. But this is totally inadmissible and illegal, plus they don't stop offering you drugs and scolding you in the bathroom.

Had a reservation booked for weeks. Arrived and the restaurant was closed. I received a notice to confirm my reservation 24 hours before. Beyond disappointing!!

Extremely overpriced. We had looked at the menu on Google, and prices were double since that! $950 for a standard rip-eye ?. On top of that they push a 20% tip on you already added on the bill, and you have to actively say you want to tip e.g 15% if that is what you wish. You sit in a nice garden but it has too many mosquitoes.

Was pushed to get the ribeye and it more like a mediocre flank steak. Thin and over cooked with a lot of fat. Cocktails were good and the pork belly starter was solid, but at $950 MXN the ribeye left a lot to be desired, even for Tulum prices

I have booked twice with them in a a period of 3 weeks and they cancelled both reservations on short notice. So I had no chance to book another restaurant.Maybe good for a walk in but not if you plan your evening ahead

FRAUDSTERS AT WORK!! Look closely on your billor even better AVOID this place!!We went to Casa Jaguar for NYE 24, initially we wanted to spend our whole evening here but left after two espresso martinis.. we couldn’t stand the staff and security guards offering us drugs like COCAIN and ECSTASSY etc.. they were very intrusive and it made us feel very uncomfortable. But when I returned home and reviewed my credit card bill I was so shocked to see that the barkeeper scammed me.. he added one 0 to my bill and distracted me so that I couldn’t check for the right amount.. MEX $ 8.400 for TWO DRINKS?!?I confronted them right after that discovery, contacted multiple times via mail, phone calls etc. but it’s impossible to get a hold of them if you call from Europe.. no reply what so ever. My credit card company got into contact with them and Casa Jaguar Accounting replied to them, but never came back to me.. shame on you!I hope this helps other people to avoid similar situations, I still want my money back but this will probably never happen.. anyways I’ll do the best I can do to warn all my friends who visit Tulum frequently to avoid this place.@casajaguar get some courage and reply to me!

There was a murder here a few days ago and then the police stole many of the victims’ valuables and money. I’d stay far away from here.

Restaurant in a Japanese patio on the lively street of Tulum. However, the restaurant remains a haven of peace (be careful of mosquitoes, even if the establishment burns Copal). The dishes are delicious and well presented. The efficient and courteous service (too bad they force their hand a little on the propina. My octopus was delicious! And the churros too!

We ordered the octopus, and it was the best octopus we ever had! So tender, not chewy at all, so flavourful! The drinks were also amazing. And we continued to the party dj by soulsista and its was also ? ?
