Pretty dope vibe. Went there twice. First time was great. Second time this totally pretentious bartender. Don’t know his name but he is an eccentric polyglot . I’m from LA, he had look at me vibes. Maybe he didn’t like me bc I wasn’t a fan of his bartenders choice drink.Made friends with this couple from SFO, dude offered me a shot and had to tell this jerk that a shot was for me like literally 5x.Some places include tip. So I closed out my tab, asked ppl around me if tip was included here. Well he returned and loudly announced “sin propina” “no propina” “no tip” I’ve seen ppl get bad service when they don’t to but this guy made it a point to let everyone around me know I didn’t tip. Normally i don’t reward bad service, but bc the sfo dude bought me a shot I shot this horrible person $100 pesos.Oh yeah, that night, drinks seemed more expensive than the first. $300 pesos for a well shot. Literally could get a decent shot on the beach at a beach club for that.

Excellent place in the hotel zone
As everyone recently has commented, it’s closed. Don’t come
Does not disappoint
Literally the worst food.Notice most positive reviews talk about “vibe” etc, not about food.Dishes were nothing like described in the menu. Salad had water dressing. Ravioli was supposed to be filled with corn but came filled with something black (?) which tasted rotten. Even the wine was horrible. When telling this to the waiters during eating they made a sad face and walked away. When requesting for them to consider the fact that we didn’t touch our food or drink they also made a sad face and told us we can pay the cash price (though we were already paying cash). They gave us the bill with tip included. We ordered 2 salads, one ravioli and a glass of wine for $100 (we left all of these dishes almost untouched).Speaking of vibe- the speaker was hooked up to someone’s phone who kept moving out of range.Seriously do yourself a favor and avoid.
Really good food (had a sampling of the appetizers because we couldn't commit to a main - the ducks and mushroom tacos were delicious!) and a great vibe (thankfully not the biggest or loudest restaurant, still beautiful, and they played some quality 90s hip hop/R&B the whole time). Only issue is the price, but considering the neighborhood, it was a pretty good comparative deal.I'd eat there again (and since we'll be here all week, we just might!)
Incredible, authentic Mexican fare, charming atmosphere, kind and attentive staff. I don't think I have ever had such tasty (and huge) shrimp. We had a vegan in our party and she was more than catered for. What a place!
The service was good and the cocktails were correct but that is for sure my worst experience in terms of food considering the price. I discuss with Claudia, who manage this place trying to understand why the prices are so high for such a poor quality. I understand that tourism had completely change the standards in Tulum but I can’t let a nice place like this at this level of mediocrity. The duck was too cooked, the vegetables were not cooked and these for 31€. The appetizers were correct but you can’t sell it at this price with no view, no authenticity and this small portion. I definitely hated it and do not recommend this restaurant.PS: the menu on Google are not updated
Have been here multiple times and it is truly the best best energy - so quaint, romantic and inviting. The most lovely food - everything is so flavorful, fresh, clean and surprising in the best way. Flawless with such an elegant touch. Polite, kind, not pretentious, authentic, thoughtful staff. Highest recommendation!! Waiter also saw me itching and brought me bug spray… very accommodating :)

This was recommended to us from our bartender at BeTulum. If a local recommends a place, you have to try it!The ambiance, food, and company was outstanding. The pork ribs were one of the best dishes I ever had. Cocktails were super fresh and delicious. One of our favorite meals in Tulum!
"Old Tulum". Amazing food, great decor and atmosphere and extremely friendly and helpful staff. And best of all, not blasting EDM :). The pasta is homemade and was some of the best I've had. The magician walking around doing magic was a great touch. Would definitely recommend!
Some of the best bites we had in Tulum! The sashimi fish and the stuffed peppers were outstanding. Also, lots of very good vegetarian options for people. Good drinks. Lovely service. A great spot!
Ordered a combination of duck confit and cochinita pibil on tacos. Savory, sweet and sour with a kick of spice from their house made habanero hot sauce. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in Tulum yet. Great vibe, not crazy busy, great house cocktail options. This place is a chill vibe and isn’t part of the whose who scene of Tulum, but serves up some excellent dishes in the midst of some great competition.
We had a group of 15 people and stopped here for pre-dinner drinks and it was perfect! They hav a cute little deck bar right when you walk in that has larger tables of to the side. The staff was very nice and accommodating and it's in a great location!
