Very good place, small but nice, I went to breakfast and ordered an Aztec breakfast, it could be roast meat or egg, I ordered with both, at the start they receive you with an orange juice and coffee, toasted white bread and butter with jam, really good breakfast, the cost is in line with what is served, they have live music and the service is very good, they don't make you wait long to take your food, taking into account that they prepare it almost instantly, really a very good place to have breakfast , lunch or dinner

The place is like a “Mexican fondita”
I had been wanting to visit it for a while since I lived in Tulum and something didn't give me complete confidence.
Upon entering, if you are not a tourist (like anywhere in Tulum) they treat you in a somewhat rude manner, there is no welcome and they only said - sit wherever you want - after 4 minutes, they brought me the menu.
I ordered an Azteca Soup and a grilled breast, something simple, expecting a warm and homely flavor, instead I received a poorly cut chicken breast (yes, because to be a restaurant they also have to pay attention to that these types of cuts are good to look at) and poorly seasoned, as it had no flavor. The portion of rice, lettuce and potatoes as an accompaniment were rude for the cost of the dish. I say this because even in some other restaurants where they sell you regular food for half the prices that Don Cafeto manages, they are much more generous in the portions.
I had to order the Azteca soup again because the waiter had not ordered it, already disappointed at this point with the brisket, I had to wait, getting the idea that the soup would be good because "who doesn't get a good soup?" Aztec?!"
What was my surprise that when my Aztec Soup arrived I saw a plate of poorly strained tomato broth, without flavor, with poorly chopped tortillas (yes, chopped because they were not even cut to fry them) as if they had been broken with their hands in the rush. and put it in the fryer for 2 minutes so that they came out between hard and chewy, a small piece of avocado and a little cream already whipped in the tomato broth.
Well, honestly the place is nice, the singer at that time was good, the climate is homely, warm, calm, but for a “traditional Mexican food restaurant with many years of experience” it leaves a lot to be desired in its flavor, I would recommend Check that with the chef and cooks.
-finally. There were only 6 tables and 4 waiters and it still took them more than 10 minutes to take my bill.
I recommend that it not be your first option to eat in Tulum because there are cheaper places with much better flavor!!!

Don Cafeto Café & Restaurants is an incredible place to enjoy a delicious breakfast. The chilaquiles are perfect, with a homemade touch that makes you feel at home. Bean toast and roast beef are an ideal complement, full of flavor and well prepared. The coffee is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy. Without a doubt, a place that I recommend to start the day on the right foot. Highly recommended!

Good service. We were given the pickled vegetables, but didn’t receive chips like everyone else now that I’m looking at the reviews. Skirt tacos and shrimp tacos were okay.

We had breakfast with my wife, we ate well, nothing out of this world. When my wife is about to finish her coffee, she finds a dead fly inside the cup at the bottom. I tell the waiter and he excuses himself saying that these are things that can happen and surely it got into the cup. To compensate, he brings her a new cup of coffee. Inadmissible, we do not accept the cup. It is unheard of to find a dead fly inside your coffee. I tell him that I am not going to pay for my wife's breakfast but he offers me a discount which I do not accept and that I do not plan to pay, that I am only going to pay for my breakfast. When I was about to pay, a young lady who never said who she was began to make fun of us, truly rude, insinuating that we put the fly and that we wanted to eat for free. A donkey who didn't even know how to speak. These people assume that you are a tourist and that is why they believe they have the right to disrespect people. They're going to ask for the spittoon when people stop coming.

The food is acceptable, nothing out of the ordinary, very high prices for the quality offered.

Although the quantity of the dishes is abundant, the flavor remains to be desired?

I didn't like the place, the food is expensive, bad taste and the service is bad and in my opinion there are many cheaper places with better flavor in Tulum, I ordered chilaquiles and hot cakes and everything is ugly, taste 0 and prices 0, I do not recommend it.
