Visited Escama in Tulum, Mexico and here is my intake
Place looks nice and well designed for a bar/restaurant, with outdoor open seating.
Hospitality: I was greeted at the door , waiter was super nice and friendly. Recommended few items on the menu and drinks. Good job and keep up the good work.
Food: Ordered the guacamole appetizer because I love the freshness of Guacamole in Mexico. Came in a oversized bowl which kinda threw me off a little bit. It could be done a smaller one , not sure the purpose behind it.
Tuna Tostadas were OK, I've had better for less price. Presentation was beautiful. Tuna tasted plain. Tostada was not fresh and crispy like it supposed to be.
Dessert: work on bringing in some local desserts not just American. I ordered the Carrot cake, the icing is plain and too buttery.
Ambience, was boring for me although it was 5pm. A place like that should have better music. I would expect a ready open restaurant with that style.
Cons: Bring Off or mosquito repellent, I had to move on the inside glass room.
Restaurant has limited parking, so better come in Taxi or walking distance if you are staying by close.

We went for dinner, the place is nice, the hostess offered us different options in her two seating areas, we chose outside and it is very comfortable, we received very good attention from the staff in advising us on our dinner choice. When we ordered, they told us that there was only one dessert, but we understood since there are few people in Tulum due to the weather; It took a little while for our food to be salads but they were very delicious, at the beginning of my salad there was a cilantro (but well maybe I thought it could be there because it was a mix of greens) but when I got to the third part I found a piece of chili, which I notified the person who served us and he apologized for the inconvenience, then he came over to offer us a free cocktail at one of his other establishments which was attentive and cordial but in the end I no longer wanted to continue eating.

Excellent restaurant in every way from the service, the entertainment, to the delicious food everything was unbelievable. I had such a great time that I returned several times just to either eat the food or drink the delicious Mezcal. I highly encourage you to try this place when you are in town.
