Very expensive for what you get. Portions are small and no taste. Very disappointed with the food. The bathrooms are horrible.

Love the jungle/house music vibes at this spot by the beach in Tulum. We had seen large crowds at the bar in the back so we decided to try the bar in the front and was glad to meet a bartender named Esli. He was cool and made amazing drinks, you can tell he is very skilled at what he does!

It was great, the food, service, drinks and party. We had an incredible time. It is expensive like any other place in Tulum.

Table for 10. They required a $100.00 non refundable deposit. We decided to change reservation time from 8:30 ( due to our house being on Soliman bay and not feeling safe at all driving at night) to 6:30.). When we arrived, we were told we would only be allowed to be at the table for 70 minutes. we were pulled over by the police on the way there and had to bribe the police which caused us to be 20 min late. We called the restaurant to let them know. We spent on average $200 per couple for dinner only to be kicked out of our seats. Not to mention all the pestering from the drug dealers wanting us to buy weed and cocaine to and from the bathroom. Food was meh…

Terrific! The food is outstanding, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere puts out a great vibe. What more could you want? Well, the cocktails are first rate also. All in all, this is one of the best restaurants in Tulum.

Went to Casa Jagar for dinner with a friend. We didn't book so on arrival we were told it was a 45 min wait. That's fine but a drink in the bar is more expensive than in a London cocktail bar. Then we were sat for dinner, and when the waitress arrived we ordered drinks. No wine available. So I chose a cocktail and am told that's not a good one, so I accept a recommendation. I didn't like it. So basically, after an hour of being seated I still didn't have a drink. Food was really good though. If you're after a trendy spot thats loud and you want to be 'seen' is a good place but if you're after more of.an experience, there are a lot of.places near by that may be better

My husband & I were in Tulum for our belated honeymoon. Unfortunately, it just so happened we were traveling during the slow season. There wasn't much to do; many places would close early or never even open. It all depended on how busy things got. This also meant rain. My friends had touted Casa Jaguar as a fun place with excellent food. Let me first start by saying this place is definitely a vibe. It was fun to walk into. The bar was really well stocked & the menu looked absolutely delicious. We wanted to try everything! Again, unfortunately, we were the only guests in the rain. We asked our server how many had come before us & he said we were his third table that night. As former restaurant managers, my husband & I understand that even though there is only one guest and they are your only guest, this gives no excuse for bad service. The service was rushed, the server had a bad attitude, & we were told a lot of stuff wasn't available. Now I don't know if stuff wasn't available because they did not have a fully stocked kitchen & bar or if they simply did not want to take their time to make it. Even all the way to the end, we wanted to order dessert but when we were asked if there was anything we wanted since the kitchen and bar were closing, dessert wasn't available. I wouldn't write this place off immediately; I would definitely give it another chance. But beware of coming here when it's not busy. *IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE FOOD WE DID HAVE WAS MAGNIFICENT!* I wish I had written down the names of the dishes. But they were delicious.

I really appreciate this place. I passed by on Thursday night when they have their party night and the music was fantastic!! Jungle vibe and sound, really sounded a great party! I will not miss it next time! I went for dinner o Friday and the music was totally different style (chill, downtempo) but the tracks selection so so so good! I spent there much more time only because of the music! The service is very good and the food also (though I found the portions a bit small and the menu too limited options). You feel like dining in the jungle it’s really beautiful! It’s like an open air home in the jungle, I loved the style! I recommend this place in all cases, for a quiet or romantic dinner or a top party (Tuesday and Thursday should be their party nights). Another positive note is that you don’t need to make reservation and on the party nights if you go after dinner you pay only 20USD for entrance.

Okay, we’re in the jungle now! The ambiance of Casa Jaguar with outdoor tables placed amongst the mangroves and lit by candles makes this stop truly experiential. The drinks were good and the staff nice enough.

Wonderful atmosphere at Casa Jaguar. We had dinner our second night in Tulum and it’s definitely worth a visit. The cocktails are delicious. We tried octopus for the first time here.

We went here for dinner with a large group. The food was just okay but mostly the atmosphere was dull and the music was putting us to sleep. We were hoping this would have more of a lively vibe but it is very chill. This restaurant came highly recommended but it was a disappointment.

Everything was incredible. The pork ribs are maybe the best I've had in my life. The tuna tostadas were also incredible.

Where do I start: 1 SERVICE & STAFF 5 STAR 2. FOOD 5 STAR 3.AMBIANCE 5 STAR If you're lucky you will meet the uber-hip-chic Alex The Manager/Partner. When I inquired about Mezcal, I got a tasting of the various types for over 25 minutes from Alex. His generosity and dedication to service and most of all to his customers was unbelievable. Alex also recommended other restaurants. I was in Tulum for 8 days and literally my girlfriend I ate Casa Jaguar for 5 out of the 7 days, and the other 2 at Atila (which Alex recommended and prove to be awesome. If you get a chance watch how meticulous the Chef is in their Open Kitchen. Thank you Staff, and my favorite waitress with that beautiful smile with DIMPLES I cannot wait to return

It’s quite a fancy place, the staff is willing to make an effort and the food looks good. Still for the quite high price around 40 USD (paid 360 USD for three people with starter, main, dessert, wine and water) for three people should should not get a severe food poisoning (most probably shrimp dish, or octopus). I was out for three days! Friends after told me that most Erstausgabe uneducated cooks, again for that price they handle that better!! Br, Dr. Alexander

We were advised to go here by our host at our hotel. And it was the perfect ending to our trip. Usually the service in tulum is very slow but this place in comparison was very fast and efficient. We were treated very well by Alex and the food was excellent. We ordered the rib eye steak and it was grilled perfect to our liking. Medium rare. Nailed it. It came with a pure and a salad. And we asked for some potatoes and suprisingly they came while our steak was still hot. They also had the best habanero sauce ive tried here so far. The server advised us the spanish wine and it was the perfect match. We finished with the churros, which is the BEST churros ive ever tasted in my whole life! Will absolutely return when we come back.
