“This has been the best restaurant we’ve found in Bacalar—hands down the most decadent food. The service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. We had (and absolutely loved) the coconut ceviche, grilled watermelon, and guacamole with castacán. For the main course, we enjoyed a variety of tacos, including cochinita, mushrooms, suadero, and castacán. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the texture to the flavors.
As for drinks, we tried a few from the menu. We had a couple of mocktails, one called the Porfirio, which was like a butterfly pea lemonade with honey, and a coconut horchata. My husband tried a “Mictlán,” which had mezcal, Aperol, Ancho Reyes, rosemary, strawberries, and blueberries—he said it was fantastic! He then tried the server’s recommendation, a “Melodoy,” which had mezcal, pineapple, Xila liqueur, lime, cranberry, and honey—also very flavorful!
The amenities are great, too. You are allowed to use their facilities if you’re dining there, and although we didn’t use them this time, the pools looked absolutely amazing with loungers and swing beds in the water.
Definitely recommend if you are in town.”

“Hijos Del Cocho was recommended by a local. Boy, were we happy to have given this place a chance. We ordered to share the Tacos Caldudos, Taco’n Madre and Camerones Al Mojo de ajo. The camarones were not part of the menu but the server made it happen and they were super delicious. All food ordered was FLAVORFUL. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. The ambiance is chill and laid back for lunch, good music. Felipe, Diego and staff were all welcoming and friendly. The Menu had a variety of options to choose from. 10 out of 10 recommended!!!!!!”

“The truth is that it is a very delicious place to eat and the presentation of the food is very elegant, I do not give it 5 stars only because I do not like that they suggest an extra expense such as the 15% tip added to the total bill. I prefer to decide how much I give.

“It's such a pity that I found out about this place the day before I left Bacalar. I can't speak Spanish at all, and this was my first time learning that there was a difference between tortas and tortillas. Because the staff kindly brought the actual product and showed it to me. Communication was difficult, but I was able to order with the only word I could, 'cochinita', and the tacos tasted the best I've ever had in Mexico. This was my first time eating tacos with fish, and it tasted just the way I liked it, and I felt the same satisfaction as when I ate mackerel kebab at Turkiye. I was planning to visit again tomorrow, but when I read the review, I heard that it is only open on weekends, which is very disappointing.”

“We went to eat around 4 in the afternoon, the place is very spacious and has a view of the lagoon.
The menu is extensive. What we asked for was:
golden fillet
The fish ? known as dorado is very tasty, it is accompanied with a good portion of rice and peppers, it is prepared with butter, for my taste it needs to be seasoned with something that enhances the flavor of the fish, what we did was put the tamarind sauce that they put on it as a service.
Cheese Pasta
It is prepared with fettuccine and comes accompanied by shrimp and slices of almonds, it is prepared in the restaurant and the pasta is very long, the cheeses ? are well balanced, I really liked it.

Basically it is a cochinita pibil toast, the presentation is what draws attention because it is on a puffed toast, which was crunchy and did not feel greasy, the cochinita was delicious.
Shrimp Esquite
If you are from CDMX don't expect a traditional ski hehe. They season the shrimp in a tomato sauce ? it is very delicious and they serve it with corn kernels, like a timbale and topped with toasted tortilla juliennes. The shrimp ? stand out in flavor.
Everything accompanied with fresh water can be one ingredient or two, orange with chaya is a little acidic, more refreshing.
For dessert we closed with a cheesecake and a chocolate pie ?, I'm not a big fan of sweets, both have a good presentation and I liked them

“Newly opened and still working out the kinks, but this is the closest thing to 'real' pizza you can find in xulha! Really nice thin crust pizza cooked in a brick oven. Very cute dining palapa and friendly staff. Only open on the weekends, but would be a good spot for a romantic date night if you bring your own bottle of wine as they currently don't serve any alcohol. Maybe in the future they will expand the menu, but for now it's only pizzas. Prices are reasonable for the quality and even though the ingredients aren't as high quality as in a big city, they are defining the best available in the area. Would have rated 4 stars if it had been in bacalar , but they get an extra one for being able to provide such a cute dining experience in a little pueblito like xulha!”
