We booked a table of 8, for 6pm. When seated, we were only given 4 menus and had to request more. Glasses of water did not arrive for over ½ hour and only after we asked where they were. The food arrived about 20 minutes after the water. The food was absolutely delicious and if the service had been better I would have definitely given 5 * rating overall. So a 5* for the food, it was excellent and inexpensive! EDIT: THE restaurant reached out to me, shortly after I wrote this review. They told me they were very short staffed and apologised for the service. So I have removed any rating for service.

It's my second time here, will not be the last. Food, staff, atmosphere, impeccable. The seafood Lasagna and chicken souvlaki are incredible. Hats off to the chef! I wouldn't change a thing about the food ove tried. Excited to return and try some more food items.
Also, the atmosphere, calming jazz, fresh flowers everywhere, my heart just melts. I love it ❤️ 💙 💜 new favorite spot around the area!!

Wow, what an absolutely wonderful dinning experience. Wonderful atmosphere with great and fast service, but it’s the food that will keep you smiling. Probably some of the best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had (which is a statement on its own coming from the Atlantic Provinces).
Honestly if you live in the area, you should certainly be taking advantage of such great food so close to home. But for people making a trip to New Brunswick, a visit to Makeba restaurant should be a must on your travel Plans. Trust me, you will thank me for this review :)

Visited Makeba for the first time last night with 2 friends. I had the seafood lasagna with Caesar salad, one of my friends had the seafood linguini & the other enjoyed the seafood casserole with rice & ceasar salad as well. We also had rolls & enjoyed a glass of wine. Our meals were simply delicious! The portions are perfect, if not a bit plentiful, and there was lots of seafood in all our dishes. The seafood lasagna is now in my top 3 in Southern NB! The prices are unbelievably fair & the service was friendly & efficient. I am already planning to go back even though I live an hour away. I just have to try the seafood stir fry I eyed at another table that smelled divine ;)
