What a great place to visit! The staff is great, food is great, and it’s very clean and well kept. The price is very reasonable especially for a small town. It’s great to see that the Muddy Rudder is open year round for the community. The server was friendly and efficient. I had fish and chips which was very disappointing. Batter on the fish was awful and the small piece of fish inside the batter was not good quality ,the chips had been reheated ,I did not bother tasting the coleslaw so cannot comment on it.

In Alma for 2 nights and got takeout from this place twice. First night I got s burger and it was fantastic. I’ve had a lot of amazing burgers and this one stacked up. Next night I got Thanksgiving turkey dinner and it was also really good. 100% would recommend if your near, especially for the burgers.

Went here with my wife. We started by sharing a large seafood chowder. It was great and had lots of fresh seafood. I had the fried clams here. They were cooked to perfection and was a good portion. My wife had the scallops and she was equally as happy. This was a quick lunch on a quick trip to Alma. Well worth the visit. See you again.

I should have taken a photo... The special of the day was a half serving of clams, one piece of fish with coleslaw and french fries. Everything was delicious and there was a lot of food. Will definitely be stopping in again.

Did not have gluten free bread, even tho it was on the menu. Home fries were soft and mushy and very oily, ham was very greasy. Boil water advisory, had to pay for water.

Great onion rings and beer selection. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decor was a bit austere and could use more character, but we enjoyed this stop on our Alma pub
We stopped in Alma during a cruise ship excursion, and after walking around the small town, decided to stop at Muddy Rudder for drinks and a snack. The staff was personable and friendly, and the local beers were solid. My wife never had poutine before, so we ordered that to try. She really loved it. The place was spotless as well.

The Muddy Rudder hosted the wedding reception of my wife and I, and we, along with all of our guests were very impressed. It was their first time hosting a wedding reception, but they were very responsive on all communication leading up to the event, worked with us on the menu, served up extremely delicious food, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Would definitely recommend!

Had lunch at this property on a recent motorcycle trip to the East Coast. Service was friendly and quick. Food came out fast hot and fresh. Excellent burger and delicious seafood chowder. Very reasonably priced.
