I moved from Bathurst three years ago so when I came back I wanted a steak sun from East Side Deli. It used to be the best but I was very disappointed to find out they have cheapened out like the rest of shrinkflation. The buns used to be big and crispy when you bite into it, now it seems like a generic foot long hotdog bun. Looks nothing like the reviews and pictures from a few years ago. Also, the fries are inedible because the grease was probably not changed in a long time....
To me, there's something that has changed in the recipe (maybe the mayo ?) that tasted different the last time I ate there. Maybe my taste buds were acting wonky that day, or maybe it was just a one-off.
I'm going to have to go back VERY SOON ? and EAT another 12" steak sub to TEST my TASTEBUDS!! Oh, and Piping hot and crispy sweet potato fries with dipping sauce = ALWAYS DELICIOUS
