We are repeat customers and have throughly enjoyed the land and area. Our group has been coming here for approximately 10 years but after yesterdays interaction with an unreasonable, illogical, nose in the air owner we learned that we had been banned and are not allowed to return. After years of perfect patronage my son arrived at the driving range, after stopping at the store to get money broken into change and saw 15-20 adults and children picking the range. Others mentioned that the machine was broken. He collected approx 3/4 of a bucket of balls (8 dollars per bucket) and had hit only 3 balls when I arrived. I arrived to a worker berating 7 kids trying to scare them by telling that they were thieves and all being kicked out out of the park. As an adult I intervened and he lead me to the back of the shed and pointed to a sign that did say not to pick the range. There was no sign on the machine to say that it was out of order, nor did the store employees indicate that the range machine was down, and the sign indicating that the range is not to be picked was so small that you'd have to be within 2 feet to read the print. But, as soon I saw it, I told the kids to pack it up as we are rule followers. Upon trying to rebook we were asked to wait for Susan (the owner) who explained to us that we were banned for theft. She asked my son if he could read, clearly trying to diminish him. She told me I was being unreasonable when I asked questions about rules, she lied saying that she stopped by our site the following morning saying that we weren't there when my wife was. My wife asked why there wasn't a sign posted on the range to say that it wasn't operational and she said that the range was operational at that time. She told us that she had also banned the families of three little girls that were present who wouldn't have even been tall enough to read the sign. Susan portrayed the highest level of rudeness and lack of customer service that I've endured. We came in to try and make it right and rebook and offered to pay for all of the balls of the 7 kids but it was very clear that she was only interested in being difficult and wanting to tag people as theives instead of working out a non-malicious oversight by a kid. In this instance we were not welcome and treated as very expendable. As of now, many of the customers that we have told this story to say that they will not be returning and we will continue to tell our story as it appears as though Susan targeted us. I'm sure that won't phase the Cousins (owners) as they seem to run their business on the premise that people are lined up waiting for a spot. It's worth noting that we had a severe shower that flooded the area creating rivers and collection spots that buried tents and the septic smell was rich without a worker anywhere to be found. My son, who was going around helping tent patrons move there belongings and toweling out tent bottoms as a good and respectful patron is the same kid that she chose to ban for collecting less than a bucket of balls because he was told that the ball machine didn't work when others were picking the range and proceeded to hit 3 balls back into the range. Side note, The earwigs are unreal here, sand fleas are prevalent and the beach (although beautiful) is not set up to allow easy access for special needs. Also, the showers have stuff growing on the wooden palets that are there to stand on and the showers weren't operating correctly when we were here this trip.

Well, we landed at Twin Shores – it was our first time and I will admit, the place does not disappoint! You’ve got views, beaches, plenty of fields and so much more! I’ll admit, prices here are a little high but when you consider what is available, here at our site $85/night, I have two beaches to choose from, driving range, mining for gold, baseball field, camper store, movie theatre, restaurant, bingo, shuttle service to the beach, golfcart rental, two playgrounds….and I know I have missed more and not to mention, we are in Prince Edward Island. I have no recommendations – it was perfect. My favourite part was the golf cart rental! I had been at other campgrounds and while out for a walk I would hear this golf cart roll up behind me and I would think, “why in f*** is there so many golf carts, why can’t they f*** right off”, well it was my turn and I know I have put on at least 100kms on this golf cart – although I’m sure I annoyed a few walkers, it truly was a great experience!! We did eat at the Twin Treats Dairy Bar – I won’t go into details, but it’s an experience and anyone staying here for a period of time has to experience it. You know when you order a Caesar salad and deep down you always wish it has more sauce…well it has sauce and the burger didn’t disappoint either!

Absolutely beautiful here! I definitely recommend this campground if you are travelling with pets (they have a dog park too!) Such a beautiful beach as well, that dogs are allowed on! The bathrooms are Very clean! (During our stay, there was always someone cleaning it when we went by) They offer many different things for every age! We will definitely be coming back to PEI just to camp here! ??

They had everything we needed. The facility was well-maintained and clean. Staff was friendly, helpful and cheerful. Location was breathtaking. Quiet times were respected. They were fully prepared for the long weekend demand. Fantastic beach.

We’ve just arrived and the facilities seems nice but we have a pop-up camper and the bathroom closest to us isn’t set up for more than one person to use at a time even though there are two stalls. There‘S a review from July 2019 pointing out the lack of privacy in the bathroom stalls. The top of the stall comes up to about my shoulder. If you are standing at the sink, you can look right over into the stall. In fact, if you are using the sink, you need to make an effort NOT to look into the stall. It’s really awkward and uncomfortable. There was a reply to the earlier review saying they’d do something about it but it’s 3 years later and clearly nothing’s happened. This is our first night here, we we haven’t really experienced much of the facilities but this is something that’s so basic and necessary that it has the potential to make our stay really uncomfortable.

We have been camping here since 1976, in a tent along the front sites facing the ocean. The sites were clean and the views were breathtaking. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The service was exceptionally friendly and friendly. The place did not disappoint us even with these difficult times in Covid-19. I wish it was not so expensive, for tenting and no services but well worth it. The beach , the dunes and so many places to walk to appreciate this nature beauty.

I had such high hopes for this campground and was looking forward to making it a regular part of the summer rotation but after witnessing the owner deal with another group of campers in the rudest and most disrespectful display I’ve seen in decades I can’t support this place. He was completely unreasonable and told this group of families that they had two hours to leave because of a complaint they received 3 days prior. He wouldn’t listen to anything they said and refused to answer any of their questions. His attitude was I’m the owner and I’ll do whatever I want and I’m too good to waste my time talking with lowly little campers. I’m a big believer in treating customers right and it was clear this is an owner who will be anything but fair and polite when dealing with inevitable issues that come with running a business. This place is a nice campground no doubt, but god help you if you have to deal with him. It will turn your fun family vacation into a nightmare real quick and it won’t bother him in the slightest. He reminds me of a bank, they don’t care about you as a person at all, you’re just a number that can be replaced. Shame.

We arrived on a Sunday with several other families. The immediate smell of septic is almost overwhelming but we attempt to make the best of it. 15 kids ranging in age from 6mos to 16. Sunday night around 1030 Security comes by and said quiet time is 10. We say sorry, figured it was 11 like all the National Parks. Security comes around again and asks us just to quiet down, alot of people around a campfire can be quite loud. (Mind you we're surrounded by Trailers with AC pumping so no way they can hear anything). Again we apologize and quiet down. Monday: Owner calls me. In a quick 2 min conversation he says "quiet time is 10, can you just keep that in mind". Me: "oh yes, no problem, you won't have any more issues with us. Thanks for your time." Monday-Wed nights: Security rolls by SEVERAL times, smiles and waves. No one speaks to us again for any reason. Note: Smiling and waving, to me, means "we're good!" Thursday morning: Owner, Brian, jumps out of his golf cart like it's on fire. "Who is Robert MacKenzie?" I say I am. He just rudely and bluntly says "you gotta go". Shocked, I ask him what he's talking about, we've turned the music off before quiet time, security smiling and waving at us means we're good?? He said it doesn't matter what time it is we should NEVER have music on!?!? He stated that security doesn't have to speak to us... Isn't that literally thier job!?? So they're basically just spies to go back and tattle without speaking to anyone??? Unreal customer service practice. Brian CLEARLY came out with an agenda. He agrees to let us stay 1 more night... Sidebar: WTF? If we were SO bad that we had to leave than why is staying one more night even an option?? He started trying to get confrontational with different members of our group. I asked him if there was any one else we could speak with and he condescendingly with a disgusted look on his face says "pfft, ya. My wife. The banker." His attitude and demeanor was the least professional thing I think I've ever witnessed. He clearly had an agenda. He told us he didn't care that we were leaving, that he had 100 people lined up for our site. That's the kind of customer service you get from this guy. Guy is on a total power Trip like he really thinks he is somebody. Don't waste your time with this place. Beautiful spot for sure, but it's not where you are, it's who you're with. Don't waste a breath on this dump. Spend your time and money somewhere else. This guy isn't worth supporting.

Went on our annual vacation to Twin Shores and it was not like it has been in the past. Typically it is a fun filled family vacation, evening bonfires on the site or beach, trips to the arcade, and treats from the ice cream shop. This year we noticed a real decline in customer service and respect. My daughters and I went for ice cream and the Treats counter and made a minor request with the ice cream she wanted (cup vs. cone) and was denied without offering a different option. Then on another occasion we went to the Cafe for breakfast and made a minor request (cream cheese on the side in stead of on the bagel) and it was denied after saying yes and me paying for it. The staff member actually refunded the money? I was shocked. We overheard a staff member rudely speak to a camper who was requesting a golf cart with lights. The staff member was walking away from him while snapping back that he had to request that when he reserved it online. No regard for listening to the guest (who likely paid a small fortune to rent it for his stay) and explaining nicely how to request it, or check to see if there was another option. Even a simple "I'm so sorry that we don't have any available today, can you come back tomorrow when we have some returned, and I'll exchange it out for you if I can" Just a "talk to the back as I'm ignoring you" I thought it was incredibly disrespectful. Lastly, we stayed on the left hand side of the campground and it smelled of strong sewage. We asked a worker about it and he said that the sewage only gets pumped out once per week on Tuesday. There were still three days left until that would happen. Yuck. Also a side note... Did you know? You are not allowed to play music on your campsite, even during the day? A maintenance worker we were talking to, let us know we should consider turning it off, he said that security files complaints to the owner. I've never heard of this before here or at any other campground. The campground scenery and beach is wonderful (and on the expensive side), but the staff and camping feel is not. All in all we decided not to rebook for next year (the end of the stay you can pay $50 to reserve your spot). We will be looking for a new location to spend our vacation next year. Good luck Twin Shores with your rotten attitude. Before too long the whole campground will be as stinky as the "left side".

This wasn't our first visit to Twin Shores but sadly it will be our last. The sites were poorly maintained and the staff were very rude. There was garbage at our site and the people who left ahead of us must had trouble getting their trailer out because it was really muddy and you could see where they spun their tires. We almost got stuck backing our trailer into the site and it was a hot dry day. They were also having septic issues so one side of the campground often smelled like sewer. When I was in the registration office, there was a man talking to staff about a disrespectful interaction he and his family experienced with one of the owners. He was being very calm and respectful and seemed to have a legit concern but a woman who identified herself as one of the co-owners didn't seem to care. When he left, she laughed about the situation and made fun of the customer knowing I was standing right there. You could tell the more junior staff were embarrassed by her behavior. The whole interaction was very unprofessional. I have heard the campground is under new management which makes sense given all the recent negative reviews about how they treat people. There are so many great places to stay in PEI but keep away from this one!

Me, my family, and many family friends have been going to this campground for years. In the beginning we fell in love with the beach just at the end of the road so we were always excited to come back. However the past few years we have had issues with the seasonals. We have had many occasions where they became very agressive with us because we were at a fire past 9:30ish. When they approached us we would always offer to turn the music down or speak quietly, however we were rudely ordered to shut everything down. Not by staff, but by other campers. Because of this incident one of the families we were with were banned, without being allowed to explain our side of the story. The seasonals police the campground and bully those who want to enjoy a fun vacation with their children, and the staff support those who pay more. If you want to be asleep by 9pm every night and deal with constant harassment over small amounts of noise (especially if you have children) this is the perfect place for you. If not, I would suggest another campground.

Was Looking for a nice vacation and ended up being harassed and bullied by the staff and seasonals. My family has been coming to Twin Shores for years but sadly will NEVER be returning. We had our vacation booked for next week, and were told less than a week before that we weren’t allowed to return. Upon asking why, we were told that there was a verbal altercation back in 2019 involving a camper and a staff member, which never even happened. After trying to explain to the staff that this wasn’t us, and begging them not to cancel our family vacation, they hung up and wouldn’t answer our calls. Apparently once your name is on this list, you are never allowed to come back, even if it’s regarding something that didn’t involve you. This trip was going to be a celebration of the end of my fathers chemotherapy, and now we’re faced with replanning our vacation with only a few days left. If you want to be bullied, blacklisted and harassed, then come to Twin Shores!

PRO’s This is a beautiful campground and a lovely beach. The facility is well-maintained and the staff are great. There is a playground, tennis courts and lots of space for children to play. CON’s However, despite them telling you that Wi-Fi is available in the campground, unless you are within 100 meters of the office forget it, it is simply not available. They have Wi-Fi antennas perched on top of the administration buildings but whoever installed this system obviously never performed a radio path analysis and it didn’t occur to them that the thousands of trees simply attenuate the signal down to zero. It is also a bit on the expensive side compared to similar campgrounds.

Extremely friendly staff, homemade baked goods and specials, and a view! One of the best coffee shops on the Island!
