Stayed nearby in Charlo as my son was competing at Crankworx in Sugarloaf and decided to try this spot on a Saturday. Despite the weather being just so-so, the place was quite busy.
Both our sons opted for the chicken tenders while my wife tried the lobster mac-and-cheese (special dish of the weekend) and I chose the seafood linguine. We also share an order of arancini (also a weekend exclusivity).
We were all very impressed by the food quality and quantity. The boys are real chicken tenders connoisseur and they rated those in their top 3 (they really enjoyed them)! The homemade BBQ sauce was very tasty.
Having other options than fried food at a takeout was a definite plus and both pasta dishes were very well executed and full of seafood! The arancinis were some of the best we’ve ever had - some Italian restaurants could definitely take some notes here!
Service was friendly and our order was ready within 15 minutes. We opted to go back to our cottage to enjoy our meal since it was a bit windy and cool. Otherwise, we would have definitely stayed on site and enjoyed the view of the Baie-des-Chaleurs with a few drinks to accompany our delicious meal.
Well done to the team at Phil’s Kitchen! We’ll definitely visit again when we’re around next time.

Great fresh flavourful food for a good price. It would be 5 stars but I am absolutely devastated they no longer use homemade fries. They just are not the same. Chicken fingers are so tasty and crispy. Phil's BBQ sauce is the best around. I love when they have special items on their menu like crab cakes.

Came here for my bday dinner by the water with my family and bestie and boy what a great meal!! Everything we had was delish .. fish and chips , lobster roll & the chicken tenders 🤤 and Parmesan fries yes please.

Got the chance to try Chez Phil after it was recommended by some locals. Had my first ever lobster roll and it was exceptional! The roll itself was light and creamy with lots of lobster and the fries were no joke. Great service and experience overall. I would highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance!

We're from Quebec and we came to eat here and it was incredible! Here are the noteworthy features of the place:
-The food is excellent (especially the fish tacos!!!) and the portions are generous. We have the choice between 1 or 2 tacos, but personally, one taco was enough. -The lady in charge is super nice -It's very clean -The landscape is really beautiful with the view of the river -The fries are good and you can even replace them (as an accompaniment with the hamburger) with poutine -There are Drumstick style frozen desserts etc.
In short, if you're in the area, go there, it's worth it!
Always have w great experience and great food when I go to Phil's.

Phil's Kitchen is a good restaurant if you want a quick bite with a good quality/value. We had the fish tacos and it was one of the best we've ever had. The service was good but not great and the tables where we can eat could use a bit of a clean up, maybe a fresh coat of paint ? All in all a good experience would definitely recommend!
