Maple Leaf Steak House & Pistachio Café

We were on our way to our vacation spot and this place was recommended by our host. The food I have to say was edible whatsoever. You could not even bite into the chicken or cut it as it was like rubber. The poutine, although it shows cheese curds, it was shredded and the wrap was completely burnt and no taste on anything inside the wrap. $60.00 gone to waste. We ended up driving 30 minutes away just to get McDonald's which was much more appetizing. On another note there was only one staff member working by himself and he was very nice and patient with us as we speak English and he was French. He was fantastic!

Stayed in Clair while passing through New Brunswick and needed food in the late evening. This was the only restaurant close by so we decided to give it a shot. We went in to order take out and the young man was very nice and was patient communicating with us as we do not speak french. We ordered chicken fingers, poutine and the chicken shawarma plate. While waiting we looked around and realized the condition of the place was not ideal but did not want to just bail while the one person working was cooking food for us. We brought the food home and tried to eat it but could not. Flavour and texture was very offputting and we ended up throwing it all away. Very surprised that the other reviews are positive.

I had lovely East Coast business trip last week , one of the good lunch place we had at the Maple Leaf Queen's AYCE buffet includes Asian , Japanese and Western located at the Edmundston , lot of parking in a very quiet mall , restaurant in the same location for long time need a good make over , but again in a small town like New Brunswick , lot of locals and seniors hang out they here for food and friendship , do not caremuch about the decor , it is budget buffet , lunch only $20.95 in week day and 10% off for seniors , we show up after 1 pm , spacious dinning room , I noticed there is over 50 tourists just left and staff told me in June to Oct is the tourist season , lot of group for lunch and use the washroom , best come after 1 pm , I am so impressed with all the hot and cold buffet station well stock and clean , the hot section and the food steaming hot , over all the foods not too shabby in a small town like Edmundston , I ate so many prawns no joke , staff so friendly also the Lady so professional make sure we all full and find our flavour item ! well done ! for sure I have nothing complain at all ! so keep these Buffet in mind if you in the area !Great Job !

We've eaten at this restaurant several times in the past years and I'm sorry to say but our food last night was absolutely terrible. The romaine lettuce was wilted, the tomatoes soggy and tasteless, the chicken dry and warmed over and the ribs, although tender and meaty, were also warmed over. Most food was cold. With a glass of wine and a soft drink, our dinner cost us over $60 and it was not edible. We left hungry. Our waitress, by yhe way was lovely. Please bring your buffet to the standard it was in past years!

Good and convenient place ?

We stopped there for a second time today, the first time we were between lunch and supper so understandably food left much to be desired. This time the food was great! Now for the reason for the 1 star rating. We had a waitress I was told later was new, so I understand that mistakes can be made. When I was asked to pay, I did not check the bill. AFTER paying with my credit card, I noticed the receipt showed alcoholic drinks that we did NOT have. So I said this is not my bill. She went with my bill to the cash a ways away and conferred with another gal. This took probably 10-15 minutes which was frustrating as we were not even half way into a 7 hour driving trip. She came back to my table and attempted to void onto my credit card which did not work. She left with the machine AND my credit card and said she was going to go to talk to her boss. I was a bit concerned that my credit card was out of my sight, so I watched and waited. At this point she MAY have apologized, but it was not much of an apology as I did not notice it. I finally walked over to where the boss (manager I take it) was working trying to figure things out, I must have waited another 10 to 15 minutes for him to try to figure it out, punching numbers, and trying again and again different things with my card in the machine. I said at one point that he should comp my meal with all the issues and he was making us late for our trip, he asked how long I had been waiting, I said 20 minutes likely. He did not say anything about it, but I was charged for my meal. I told him that he was being very unprofessional, that I worked in customer service and he should have been apologizing all over the place, to which he did NOT apologize. He might have said sorry one time as he walked away again with my credit card to a desk off to the side. I understand mistakes can happen, but you need to own up to your mistakes and apologize, at least seem to be feeling sorry!!! All in all even though the food was good this time, I would not go back!!! The cashier I understand, but when management does what he did........

I work hard for my money! Have never tasted Chinese food that was as tasteless as this. $50.00 worth of crap. Rotten broccoli and celery(see photo) mushy overcooked fried rice with absolutely nothing in it, and over cooked and refried fried dried up chicken strips. They can come back and get it. We won’t eat it. Sauce put on chicken to cover up the fact that it’s old and refried. Store bought wanton soup broth with green onions thrown in it. Undercooked rubbery wantons. Paid for 10 received 5. No odds anyway not eating them. Driver came no face mask, I asked for paper plates did not get. I even tipped him $5.00 ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️???
