Had the fried clams and hamburger poutine. They were delicious, however. The three times I went there while on Vacation I waited over an hour for the food. The food was good enough that it was worth the wait though.

Super slow service. We waited 45 minutes for four fried pickles and a slushy. Orders were so slow they didn't call anyone for 10 minutes.

Great location. The lady that works there is very nice and efficient. The food unfortunately was meh.. The fries were extra sauggy, like floating in oil sauggy. The batter on the fish was flavorless and came completely off on the first bite.

Extremely disappointed in this place. Service and management.When I put my order in the person did not clarify the size I was ordering. When I received my order I got a tiny poutine and attempted to complain that the size was small. The lady said that it was a regular size and that's what she charged me for. The lady behind me said she ordered the same thing and complained and adjusted her order. I was never given any change in my order and left to just take it or leave it. As I was sitting there eating my food the lady came up to me and said I changed my to a large and it's double the size for two more dollars. I went to ask the person to change my order and was told that I ate it so, the person refused to change my order. I was told that it was what I ordered and she could do nothing about it. She ended up calling the owner. He said he could not do anything. The person I spoke to was Kevin. He said I could buy another one for half price. When I refused to spend 20$ on poutine when I could have spent 12. He then said either take it or he would call the cops on me. I feel this establishment is taking advantage of its customers and threatened harm on me. I am dark skinned indigenous person and the threating me with police is a THREAT on my life.Extremely disappointed being a tourist to the area who does not speak French this is taking advantage of me and everyone who shops here.

Amazing take out diner spot! Visiting the Lion's Club Canteen is a much-looked-forward-to event on our summer vacation calendar. Basically everything on the menu is good, but the fries are a stand out favourite. Ice cream spot across the street. Big playground right beside. Also beware: they are not responsible for seagulls eating your food!
