For a place with such a fancy name, we genuinely expected better especially for the price.
We ordered a plate of nachos ($14.99), a 9” pizza ($15.99), and a tray of mozzarella sticks ($9). Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing right from the start.
The nachos were served on a Styrofoam plate with stale chips. It honestly looked like the cheese and veggies were placed on top and microwaved. The cheese was melted and stuck to the Styrofoam, which makes it hard to believe they were baked. For $14.99, it was a very sad plate of nachos. We didn’t even eat half.
The mozzarella sticks were severely undercooked. They were small, bite-sized breaded sticks, soggy with no crisp at all — so underdone that the cheese inside hadn’t even melted. Between the two of us, we ate maybe four.
The pizza was the best part of the meal and was actually quite good, though the dough could have been a bit thicker to hold the toppings better without falling apart.
Overall, we were very disappointed with what we received. Spending $61 on paper plates from a place calling itself a “bistro” is, honestly, a sad day.

This place is a joke. It is the slowest airport lounge in the entire world, and absolutely ridiculous. Same guy running it every single time. I actually feel sorry for him and whoever owns this needs to hire another person. Lineup is over an hour wait 99% of the time. Save your Time and money, even walking up the stairs because it’s not worth it

Decent food in a pinch. No substitute for a lounge though.

my review isn’t based on the workers, because they were in good moods considering the company making them do EVERYTHING just the two of them. the line was out the door and down the hall for the entire hour we were there. one bartender to do all drinks, take orders, hand out orders, and one women to do all the food. this company should be embarrassed… ONE more employee working for hold have made a difference. I wish we just went to tim hortons

Guy taking our order was the best part. Quesadilla was not great but the salsa helped me dip it in something better. I'd recommend leaving the chicken in the oven a bit longer

It was a busy evening and the bistro was full and the restaurant only had one person working! She had to operate the cash register, serve the food and COOK the food (this was openly told to customers because everything was taking so long). That is completely unsanitary. We ended up getting pre-made wraps because we couldn't wait long enough for service and I refused to eat prepared food if it wasn't sanitary. The wraps were both soaking wet and inedible from condensation inside the packaging. We both ended up throwing them out. We couldn't even complain to the one worker because the line up at the cash from unsuspecting people trying to order food was very long. It was also incredibly expensive...for $48 I would expect edible food and enough staff that I could feel confident there was some form of safe food handling practices. Will never go there again.

Horrible food quality. Tasted bad and felt like it was heated in the microwave

Stopped in hoping for a bit to eat before our flight, but ended up with a masterclass in how not to run a bistro. When we arrived, the staff member was literally asleep — we had to wake him up to get any service. He responded like we were the rude ones, sighing and glaring as if we'd interrupted something far more important than, you know... doing his job.
Arguing with my husband when he said his beer was off.
When the food finally arrived, it was undercooked and barely warm — which, in hindsight, might’ve been a blessing, because I wasn’t confident in the kitchen’s ability to cook it properly anyway. We were then overcharged, and when we asked about it, he suddenly couldn’t find the receipt. Shocking.
Between the napping, the attitude, the raw food, and the mysterious math, it was an experience we won’t be repeating. Unless you're into bad service and guessing games with your bill, I'd recommend eating literally anywhere else.

Not too bad! Expected more options for a location like this in the airport!

Great place to kill some time before my flight. Terry and Patty were awesome! They made the wait for my delayed flight a very enjoyable experience.

First off, yes the food is a little pricey, but it’s honestly so much better than what you could get at the Tim Hortons downstairs. The food tasted good and the quality was much better than what I was anticipating, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and tidy. My flight was delayed and it put me in a bad mood but the food and staff at bistro altitude made me feel better.
