Tried this place for the first time. My mother ordered one piece fish and chips. She liked the crispy coated fries but wasnt impressed with the small piece of fish. The beer batter was extra crispy and yummy but the fish inside was quite small (for $16, we wouldn't order it again unfortunately). Luckily there was enough fries to fill her belly.
My stepfather had the BLT which he enjoyed, it looked really good.
I had a burger, not sure what it was called. It had everything on it and was delicious, including a fresh patty. It was huge, mom wished she had ordered that.

The server was sweet. The bathroom could've used a once over before opening, no excuse for a 12pm opening, which is when we arrived.

Overall, would recommend this place. I'd like to experience a night of music and some drinks, seems like it would be fun.

I just traveled from Keswick Ridge to this spot as I was told that it was good. We arrived at 4:30 and sat ourselves on the back patio. Beautiful spot. Wish I couldn't say that about the service. We waited 20 min before someone finally noticed us, we and another couple were the only 2 out there. She did bring the menu but did not ask for our drinks and we waited another 15 mins. Another couple came in and sat beside us and immediately given a menu and asked what they wanted to drink. While that just didn't set well with me as we were sitting right next to them and it was obvious to the waitress that we were waiting to order. Needless to say, we left very disappointed. I would not recommend this spot.

We were disappointed in the pub. Ordered an appetizer and it took an hour to get and it was terrible. Main course was not a lot better. We sat on the patio and it was right above the place they smoke. The one positive was the waitress.

My family & I went here for dinner and we ordered a chicken BLT meal. When it arrived it was missing the chicken. When I brought it to their attention they fixed the mistake sending out a new chicken BLT but as you can see in the photo attached, the chicken was NOT COOKED!! Thankfully I caught it before my 8 year old ate it. When I shared this with the waiter they were initially very apologetic and refunded the meal, but later proceeded to argue that it was “over cooked” …. Very disappointed with the service and food today.

Portions were decent. Food was good. Only one server for inside and patio made for slow service. Not the server's fault. It was pretty busy.

This was the most disappointing meal we have had ever. We ordered two burger platters, the appetizer platter for 2 and a grilled chicken sandwich platter. We were a party of 4. We asked the staff to wipe our table as it was dirty and had liquids spilled on it. The mess was missed and we cleaned it ourselves. The food took nearly an hour to come out from the time we ordered and it was cold and just disappointing. The grilled chicken was dry, perhaps 2 ounces in size at best and when questioned we were told it comes out of a package precooked. We sent it back. The staff were drinking at the bar or too busy on their phones to provide any service what so ever. Coffee was never asked to be refilled etc. The pub had a table of 6 that were eating, and two waiting for their meal when were ordered. Save your money and go elsewhere. I don’t think bar rescue could help this place.

Went to have something to eat...only to find out that they were out of both hamburgers and chicken burgers. Needless to say, did not get to have supper.

I went at this pub several times this year and last, with friends. Each time telling myself it would be the last time, but there aren't that many pubs in the area, and the location is splendid. The service is always extremely bad. Last time, all my friends got served but me. Not sure what I did to them. And the waitress was quite rude, not smiling, not engaging. It seems like she didn't want to be there. She didn't come back to ask if everything was ok nor if we wanted another drink. The food took forever to arrive, and it was quite bad. I mean, I cook better than this. The toilets are... well, it's better to hold it. Basically, we expected more.

I was in the area for a job and thought that i should try out this place. It turned out way better than i could imagine. I ordered a fish sandwich and my brother got a veggie sandwich with fries. The bread they use as bun tastes so authentic and real as compared to the packaged ones which are normally used. It was just like you were having an Italian bread with a delicious fish patty topped with fresh vegetables and a flavourful sauce.Overall, the food was amazing and the place was nice. Worth visit and definitely recommended!

Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options in all courses which is good.

I love the location and the patio looking over the river, the food was the worst I've had on the entire east coast and in fact for years. In fairness, they were packed and then some due to a games night at the pub and my only thought is the chef had cranked up the cooking or was too busy to not prepare properly.
