Great micro brewery and bbq restaurant in a cute little town. The service was super friendly and helpful. They really made us feel welcomed. The food was delicious, and the beer was very nice. We'll be back here for sure to try more of both their menus.

Great little pub with a dozen or so (rotating) beers on tap from mostly small, local breweries (including Gridiron itself). Nice patio as well. Shared location with Beer Daddy BBQ.

A great cozy place with warm and inviting people. Nightly activities are always on like trivia Tuesdays and songwriter’s circle. Beers are excellent and the restaurant is delicious. (Make sure to check the restaurant’s times as they are not open daily). Definitely a place to hang out at.

My review is in response to Steve Fernandes. I happened to be in the bar that night because I am there there each Tuesday between 5:30 and 6pm. While I was there, there were 5 children sitting at one table on one side by the restaurant and 3 adults sitting at a table by the bar, after purchasing 1 beer and asking for glasses of tap water for the children. The bartender, very nicely and with a smile, let them know that it was Trivia Night, which started at 7 and wasn’t normally child friendly. Teenagers have been before but these were younger children and she just wanted them to be aware that they may not find it appropriate for their children. The lady with the group said that they would move outside when people started coming for trivia. Then, the lady asked the bartender if they could eat some snacks and their own food on the deck since the restaurant wasn’t open. They were informed that they could not, because there was a canteen set up with chips, chocolate bars, etc that they could purchase. The bartender also advised them that there were signs outside that stated no outside food or drink. All this was explained by the bartender politely and with a smile. While this exchange happened, the male and older female adults had left to go up the road. They returned shortly after this conversation and they moved out onto the patio because trivia was being set up and everyone was getting started. They proceeded to get chips and other snacks and drinks for the children while sitting at the patio and everything was out in the open, they weren’t trying to hide it.The bartender went outside and reminded them that she had asked if they could have their own snacks and they were informed they couldn’t and the sign was just beside them. The bartender was not rude, however the man and younger woman were extremely rude and rolling their eyes. They were very disrespectful and in all honesty, I would have asked them to leave. But the bartender was was still very polite and asked that they please put the food away. When the bartender went back into the bar, they were talking rudely about her and they made no effort to respect her wishes and instead were very obvious about having the food and drinks that they knew they shouldn’t have had.In the end, the bartender did not bother going back out as it was obvious to everyone inside that they were trying to cause trouble. They eventually left and I feel that posting the review that he did was completely disrespectful and totally incorrect. The fact that they were so obviously disrespectful toward not only the bartender but also the other patrons and still have the audacity to write such a review makes me wonder how they normally respond to anywhere else that they patronize.

Wanted to like this place but unfortunately we won’t be back. Never before in 20 years of visiting breweries all over the world have we ever felt we wouldn’t return. Came in from a day of exploring with our kids and the BBQ was closed so no big deal. We had a beer and our kids played crib while we had our beer. We were the only ones there and we sat inside. It was trivia night and she let us know that it was going to start getting busy in an hour or so. We said no problem…when people start to come we’ll go outside on the patio. A little later she hinted a couple of more times at the trivia night and we got the impression she wanted us to leave but we were still the only ones there however we volunteered to move outside to the patio anyways and then we ordered another beer. Our kids were getting hungry and since the kitchen wasn’t open we opened a bag of chips. We were the only ones on the patio…:there was no one else here. She actually walked outside and told us to put the food away. It was a bag of chips and it was for our kids. No other brewery would ever bat an eyelash. Honestly we wanted to love this place but the lady behind the bar was cold and rude and it didn’t start out that way….we were actually having a great chat with her early on. Even our kids noticed and they don’t ever notice anything. Maritime hospitality has gone out the window here. Let me state that there was nothing wrong with the brewery itself….great layout and good beer. Again I wanted to like this place but we didn’t feel welcome so we won’t be back and we’ll have to continue to support the other local breweries that have a more welcoming atmosphere. I know I’m going against the grain here based on other reviews but it needed to be said.

Great little brewery in Hampton, Nova Scotia that is sharing a space right next to a bbq joint. The combo is made in heaven for those looking for a quick bit and sip.Good variety and style of beers from lagers to a stout. Overall, the beer was good but wasn’t distinct or memorable.
