We were hereon an anniversary date.Quite overpriced, looking up 2020 menu to compare to current and several items are up by a whole 20.00 in price. If the food had been excellent I could understand it or forgive it but alas, it was mediocre at best.Atmosphere is fine, seating was comfortable and clean.The service was rather poor, we were the only people there at the time (4:45pm on a Thursday) and the waitstaff were loudly laughing and chatting right in the main eating area so we had to speak loudly to talk over them, felt like we were a bit of an annoyance. Our server came by every 3 minutes for the 35/45min we were there and then returned to their chatting. We felt very rushed to be frank. Maybe it was an off day but it was unfortunate.

went to sam sneads on march 9th. we arrived around 6:30 pm. there was no friendly greeting just an immediate “it’ll be 15 minutes” and no further instructions. so i asked if we could sit at the bar and have a quick drink to which we were able to. service at the bar was decent. then about 10 minutes later we get our table. the server comes over quickly enough and ask us if we’re ready with the menu and i let her know that we needed just one more minute to decide on sides. she went elsewhere for a bit, then took a payment, then took a tables order that came in after us, walked by us many times for about 15 minutes and then we finally got to place our order just as we were about to get up and leave. our food came out about 45-50 minutes later. my sweet potato fries were burnt, my boyfriends ribs had clearly been sitting in the window for a while as the sauce was dried up, so was the sauce on my fish tacos.. it smelled like the fryer oil hadn’t been changed in a while either. i forgot to mention, i ordered a drink prior to getting our food and i didn’t get it til another 10-15 minutes later. the waitress never came to check on us so i had to flag her down and i asked to get wedges instead of the sweet potato and asked for some extra sauce for the ribs and fish tacos. she then brings me my drink and about 5-10 minutes later we get the sauces, all the while, im just waiting to eat my food. just as we’re about to finish our food, she finally does a quality check.. the table next to us also had an awful experience and complained to the manager about the terrible service and how 2/3 of their food items were messed up, they never got their appetizer and something was wrong with her main. they got a 20% discount and i wanted to complain too but i didnt want the manager to think i was just complaining to get a discount aswell so we paid full price for a very sub par experience and bland food, and settled on leaving a review instead. would not come back to this establishment. i’ve worked in the service industry for years and this was not good at all.

Ate in restaurant last week. Fish tacos were just ok. Kale Caesar salad was very good! I called to order a kale Caesar salad today for pick up to accompany my meal at home and was extremely turned off when told there would be an automatic $5 surcharge applied to my (and all) take out orders! How is that even a thing? This is price gouging and it’s disgusting! How do you justify charging customers an automatic $5 extra dollars for not eating in? Cooking my meal and dishing it out into a plate or a box is not that different. In fact, since you don’t have to wash my utensils, my plate nor serve it to me by wait staff, I would think that it is a savings for you that I take this away leaving my table free for someone else. In fact it is giving you a bonus sale. This is so disappointing that it will discourage me from coming in a second time and certainly will not order for take out/pick up! If this automatic $5 surcharge is to cover some sort of tip, then when did tips become mandatory. Isn’t this optional based on the quality of food and service!? Not cool Sam Sneads not cool at all!

The service was excellent. She made sure we always had water and what we needed throughout the whole meal. Always checked on us. That was great. The food we had ordered was good, but for the value, it was questionable. We had ordered the 4 cheese spinach and artichoke dip, which was amazing. Then, for our main meal, we had ordered the most expensive steaks they had, which was 40 dollars a meal. It came with a strip steak,your choice of soup or salad, a side of potatoes, a vegetable, and if you wanted grilled onions and mushrooms. My husband ordered the salad, the wedges, and grilled onions with his steak he ordered medium rare. For mine, I ordered the same for the steak, the soup, mashed potatoes and grilled onions and mushrooms. The meal came out together, but his steak wasn't cooked to medium rare. It was very much rare. The wedges he ordered were very dark and almost burnt. He said they were fine, but for a 40 dollar meal, I was a little upset. My meal was perfect. Steak cooked to a medium rare. It was a little dark but good. We also ordered dessert and that was amazing.It's like they were rushing to get all the meals out to people(it got a little busy) and maybe forgot about my husband's steak and burnt it, they had to throw on a new one but didn't cook it. Overall, we had a good evening out to a fancy restaurant. We will be back.

We reserved the private room for a family dinner Oct 21/23. There were 9 adults and 5 children under the age of 4. Rhonda was our waitress. When she took our drink orders she also took the children's food order. Their food came first and then we placed our order so we had very happy children when our food arrived. Everyone loved their meal the only complaint was the 4 that order the southern fried buttermilk chicken their beans were cold. A big thank you for Rhonda's attentively excellent service
