Was looking forward to finally trying out Rocco's Cucina and I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Gamberi Al Pernod and it was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. We also tried both the carrot cake and a cheesecake for dessert, and wow… they were just as unforgettable!
You can truly tell this restaurant takes immense pride in not only the quality of their dishes but also in making sure every guest has a wonderful experience. I love seeing a local business thrive, especially when you can feel the heart and passion behind everything they do.
I didn’t get a chance to meet Rocco on this visit, but I hope to next time...because I will definitely be back! (haven't tried the Pizzas yet!) Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

We were a group of five and kicked off our meal by trying all four available appetizers: smoked ricotta fritters, cucina bruschetta, market arancini, and Marney's meatballs. The ricotta fritters were nicely crisped but cool inside, we were hoping for a hotter center. The arancini was flavorful. The meatballs lacked seasoning and only tasted of the sauce.
The bruschetta stood out as the most refreshing and unique item, would definitely get that again.
One common complaint we had was that most of the appetizers tasted very similar, largely due to a lot of marinara sauce on them, even the meatballs tasted similar to the other appetizers. Only the bruschetta broke that pattern. The pasta dishes also shared the same sauce, which is understandable, but worth noting if you're looking for variety.
For mains, we ordered a mix of pizzas and pasta dishes. I had the Chicken Parmigiana, which was fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. The accompanying pasta was cooked perfectly. However, the garlic bread was disappointing, tough texture and barely any garlic, tasting more like plain toasted bread. One person from our group had the bacon and scallop pappardelle and really enjoyed it.
The pizzas, specifically 'The Nadia' and 'The Angelino', were the highlight of the night. Both were unique and delicious, and if I return, I’ll skip the appetizers and go straight for the pizza.
For dessert, we had the cannoli. There was only one option, but it was excellent, definitely worth saving room for.
The servers were very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The ambiance was amazing: warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed evening out.

As a pizza lover since being a young lad, I can confidentially say this is the absolute best pie I've ever sunken my teeth into. Chefs kiss. Oh my goodness.

We visited Rocco’s for a special 80th birthday celebration, and while the food was very good, the service fell short of expectations. Our server never introduced himself, and seemed to rush us when taking orders. Throughout the meal, there were no check-ins, and when clearing plates, he asked about dessert while some guests were still eating. Instead of describing the desserts, he simply left a handwritten list on a receipt. Later, we felt rushed again when the bills were brought out quickly, and the hostess politely asked us to leave because the table was reserved—even though we were still enjoying conversation.
When we made the reservation, we noted it was for an 80th birthday, but there was no acknowledgment or gesture for the guest of honor, which was disappointing. In the past, when Rocco’s was in Hillsborough, the owner would make an appearance, adding a personal touch that seems to be missing now. Overall, while the food was great, the experience felt rushed and lacked the warmth and attention we expected for such a special occasion.

Went for dinner yesterday we shared a pizza for an appetizer. The pizza was 💯 just as good as Gusto. Their pastas were just ok, nothing special. The red sauce was somewhat bland and the Alfredo was a little gloopy and the papardelle was all stuck together. Would have the pizza again for sure. Maybe will try pizza and appetizers and pass on the pasta dished. Sorry I have a very high standard for Italian food as eaten a lot of homemade by mamma Italian 😋

I didn’t think the restaurant could improve after moving from hillsborough but it did. Awesome food, great prices, super friendly staff. As we were parking the tidal bore was flowing past. A true New Brunswick experience. We will be back!!!

I’m slowly working my way through the pizza menu. Tonight we tried the Nadia and the Candenese … both were amazing but the Nadia really did it for me. Pesto sauce, large pieces of chicken , goat cheese , roasted peppers, artichoke and spinach. If you haven’t tried this pie you don’t know what you’re missing.

The four of us all had similar comments. Pasta overdone or reheated, veal a bit chewy and reheated? Not what we were expecting. We had been to Hillsboro restaurant and never encountered these problems. Music too loud and air is cold. Some work to be done to bring up the food presentation. Did not give our comments to our server, who was very professional and knowledgeable.

Waited behind 1 couple for 20 mins that was told, for 20 mins, that there were no reservations available. When I was finally talked to, I asked if I could order takeout as there was no option online to call or order. They said no problem, they do takeout. Also told me kitchen wasn't busy yet so it wouldn't be a long wait... Great... then find out they only do takeout for a very small portion of the menu, the pizza, which my group didnt want / couldn't eat. Overall super frustrating. Two men behind me also left frustrated from the process and inability to order what they wanted. Used to love the food at the old location and im assuming its still great when you can get it...
EDIT: Updated my review from the owner response. Will try again another time.
