We came here after seeing the decorations at the Railway Station. The restaurant was busy and the parking lot was full. The staff was overwhelmed by the rush. We had to get menus ourselves and the wait to be served was long. The owner was accommodating, despite running out of most things. We were the last table to be served. The owner was busy but still polite. The prices were resonable.

We arrived during the peak hour. T’was kind of owner who gave us a heads up of a delay. We stayed and waited. We had a complementary hotdog. The place has the old school diner, felt like in the movies, the crew were friendly and it is heartwarming to see different nationalities in the diner.
The food, was amazing. My husband said it was the best poutine he ever tasted. Good food with good vibes in a small friendly town. I could say perfect timing it was.
A must visit.

We came to two hours away to see the train station. We waited 20 min just to get our order taken.then we waited half and hour for our food. Food is ok. But the service is awful.they forgot me three year old fries so you can just imagine how upst he was. We were done our meals before he got his and also had the wait forever just to get some ketchup. Never going back.

Loud atmosphere, small space.
Been here for over an hour and still haven’t been served. 1 person taking orders & 1 person cooking/cleaning tables.

Waited 30 minutes just for a menu, another 15 minutes to take our orders & it has now been 40 minutes waiting for our order & still waiting

An unexpected holiday trip delight last night.

While this spot would generally get a 4, I'm giving it 5 for providing something very rare these days as larger chains owned by 1 or 2 companies continue their takeover in most places; understanding and caring.

My wife, parents, and I had just left the McAdam Railway Station's wonderful Christmas setup and were very hungry. It was a few minutes past 7, which we did not realize was their closing time.

Not only did they allow the 4 of us to come in and grab some food, but there was also a table of 6 who had arrived not much earlier than us. They mentioned they only had burgers which was more than fair given they were setup to close. So, we all got burgers and fries.

We were so hungry, I didn't end up taking photos of anything except the remnants of the fries I took home, but everything was as a diner should be. The ingredients were fresh, the burgers were large, but not too large, and obviously not frozen. The portion of fries, which were cut from fresh potatoes as they still had the skins on them, were again, exactly as a great diner meal should be.

To top everything off, the service was very friendly and the prices were unexpectedly affordable for most at under or around $10 before taxes and tip.

If you're in the area, which you definitely should be at least once for the holiday season, make sure you plan your trip around meal time. Just make sure to get there well before 7pm because the wonderful people will stay open for you after what I would assume is a long day running a restaurant/business.

Came in for breakfast and had the pancakes, they did a mix of chocolate and blueberry as per my request and absolutely amazing, they are a great portion and super fluffy. My wife got the diner breakfast and that was also good. They also have a great selection of milkshakes, thick and super flavourful. Definitely will be back

this restaurant is a total small-town gem! The atmosphere is cozy, and the service was super nice, the owner and his wife run this place and it gives it a very homey feel. The food was incredible. I had the classic Hot Hamburger with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and it arrived piping hot a comfort food dream. My husband loved the Diner Burger. If you're looking for great hospitality and even better food, this is a 5/5 must-visit.

Would NOT recommend, unless you have time to wait, and wait, and wait…. Terrible service & terribly slow. Waited over an hour for our food for them to come back & say they were out of chicken. Ended up leaving & never ate.

I wanted a hot hamburger then poutine the fries.
7$ for a hot hamburger plater that comes with fries and coleslaw.

I knew there would be a cost to have the fries poutined but the lady charged me for a full poutine at 9$ then a full hot hamburger platter and told me i dont get coleslaw.

If I was 2 people I would of got a full hamburger platter with fries and coleslaw then a full seprate poutine. But all I got was a hot hamburger on a plate and a seperate poutine and no coleslaw. How the hell does that make sense

So i paid 7$ for a hot hamburger (just the buger) then a seperate poutine at 9$

This is a complete rip off and the food was terrible. Gross gravy out of a can

Me and my co worker will not be back to this place. Onto of it we had to grab our own menu and had food infront of us with nothing to eat it with.

The Indian lady will not be getting a tip.

We ate there on Sunday after visiting the Train Station Christmas display. Food was good as well as the service. Great prices. Love that you order French Fries separate from meal so that they can be shared

This is the first time that I walked into a restaurant hungry and left hungry!!
Myself and 2 friends stopped for supper before going to the Christmas train station..we walked in and sat at a table..no sign of a waitress/waiter..so we waited..after about 15 mins another couple came in and grabbed themselves a couple menus so we followed suit and got our own menus...finally after being there for 25 mins a guy came from the kitchen..and walked right over to the couple that came in AFTER us..took their order and disappeared in the kitchen..soo we waited...again..for probably another 10 mins..then he FINALLY came out and took our order..the 2 girls reached ordered cheeseburger platters..I ordered an open faced hot hamburger with mashed and an ice water with lemon...I was told they had no ice..and just haf tap water...so I got it thinking it would be at least cold...nope..warm tap water..so we waited...and waited some more...finally after about another 20 mins he brought out the 2 cheeseburger platters...thought mine would be coming right out after considering we all ordered burgers...but nope..I waited probably close to another 10 mins before I got mine!!! And when I did...I was soooo disappointed!!! My mashed was full of lumps the vegetables were cold and my burger was not the same as theirs...theirs was thick normal burger...mine was thin as cardboard and tasted about the same...and the gravy was disgusting!! I couldn't even eat it!! So I left as hungry as i was when I got there!!! Definitely will never be going back!! 0/10 Sorry..not sorry!!!

Quaint little place; kinda homey. Food was good! Took quite a while for the food, BUT, the cook was working by himself (other worker called in sick). So, you have to be patient in those situations. He was very friendly.
