Miramichi Jungle Jim's

Made a reservation and got seated way at the back even though the whole main part was empty. It was cold back there. Cutlery was dropped on the table. The four of us waited and waited. We weren't even offered a drink. There was only about 5 other tables of patrons so not busy at all. We decided to leave after a lengthy wait and told the one server why we were leaving. Her response was - We are busy. Terrible, terrible customer service. Staff needs a kick in the butt. Can't comment on the food as we didn't get that far.

I love this restaurant normally. It’s our go to place since we moved to the province. My son loves the play room and if anyone ever tried to keep a 15 month old in the high chair while waiting for food would appreciate this. But the last time I went the waitress wasn’t in the greatest mood. People have off days so it was okay but then the food came. First I sent my panini back because I asked for no tomatoes and it came with it, oh well. Then I took once bite of the new sandwinch and it was soggy in sauce, made my stomach sick honesty. My son wouldn’t even eat it. I got the kids a kids pizza and it was just one of those frozen mini pizzas I think. And my mother’s poutine was drowned in gravy. The fries were a sinking ship.
Like i said we love this place. This was my second time there this week but i was extremely disappointed. Could’ve at least gotten 10% off of the food we had to send back.

I use to go all the time then we moved to bc came back and went in today the service was great. The food not so great the bathrooms r awful. Will not go back again.

Great spot amazing food kind and friendly people love the decorations and the kids playroom is a great touch would definitely recommend if u are looking for good food and a good time

A couple colleagues and I went for lunch as we passed through town this afternoon. This was a mistake. I will preface this by saying I’m easy to please, and have never taken the time to write a Google review in my life. What I experienced here was exceptionally terrible service, ambience and food. When we arrived, I immediately noticed the atmosphere to be a little grimy. The fish tank was poorly kept, in need of a clean and water top up (or change). There were two other tables seated at this time. Once we were seated, our server took 10 minutes to come to our table. At this point we ordered both our food and drinks. Our fountain drinks arrived 10 minutes later and my appetizer shortly after. The appetizer was mediocre but acceptable. We then proceeded to wait 40+ minutes for our mains. When this was brought to the attention of another server (ours disappeared after the drinks arrived) she was profusely apologetic and went to check on it. We waited another 15 minutes before being notified by our original server “our food was ready and just going in the oven” -whatever that meant; along with an odd series of excuses. We waited another 10 minutes before getting up to stand at the bar to pay our bills and leave. Our original server came out to insist that we waited for the food that at this point had taken almost an hour to be served. She promised it would be coming right out. We obliged and paid our 15% discounted bills. Then we waited 10 more minutes. The other server was again very apologetic. Our food eventually came out in takeout boxes. One order only came with half a side of fries. Both sandwiches involved what I can only describe as mess of soggy bread, and a borderline inedible, charcoal flavoured chopped steak. My sympathies to the nice young woman cursed to work at this train wreck of a “restaurant” 0/10.

Passing through Miramichi on our way back to Halifax for the weekend after a week's worth of projects throughout NB, honestly was thinking of going to Harvey's across the street but figured we would spend abit of time sitting down relaxing before the drive, this was anything but that

I will preface this with this restaurant not being exceptionally busy in the least, when we arrived we were the third table, 4-6 people at each and we are a party of 3.

Our waitress didn't come to take drink orders for 10 minutes the drinks (all sodas) took another 5 to come out one person ordered and appetizer that came 20 minutes later, altogether we went to walk out around the 50 minute mark, our waitress told us our food was ready and would be out shortly, it was not and had we known that we would not have paid and continued to walk out but instead it was insisted we paid and waited again for our food, as we were reasonably agitated another server came and was profusely apologizing and was very kind but the food did not come for another 20 minutes.

We were not going to dine and dash as that would mean we would have needed to dine, we were looking to cancel our orders, all in all a very unpleasant experience.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, we waited an hour for our food with only two other occupied tables in the entire place. We mentioned to our waitress that we were just passing through while working after 45 minutes of waiting and she proceeded to tell us our food was ready and would be right out. Following another 15 mins of waiting we said we couldn’t wait any longer, they insisted we pay and it would be right out in to go box’s. We waited another 10 minutes after paying and our waitress just disappeared. When some one different brought out of food the sandwiches were just soggy bread and burnt slices of some sort of mystery ash tray meat, and all three meals didn’t include the sauce listed on the menu. I’ve never wrote a restaurant review in my life, but this one was certainly warranted. Don’t eat here, if zero stars was an option that would be my rating

This is where we came for dinner after a long day of traveling. My daughter thought it was really cool at first. A children's play area was a lovely addition. After we received our food, my salad contained bad leafy greens, and my quesadilla was frigid. My husband's was cold, too. Despite the lengthy day, we ate the food. When we brought it up to our waitress, her demeanour and comments weren't very encouraging. We received a 10% discount from them. In addition, my daughter questioned whether the cook was competent and whether the oven was faulty. Obviously, we're not coming back.

Traveling through Miramichi we stopped in for lunch with our two year old and had the BEST experience! The tiki decor is so fun with all the lights and trinkets but the best part for parents is the hidden gem at the back- a playroom with endless toys for kids to stay entertained! We’ve never been to a restaurant so accommodating for kids… highly recommend. The food was great and the kids menu was so reasonable with great options and huge portions. We were lucky enough to be served by the owner who was fabulous. We came back a few days later for lunch again and had another awesome experience. We will definitely be back on our next trip through NB!

We were overcharged for our meals. We were charged adult prices when there were lower prices for children but we were not informed of the lower prices.
