Closed, should be on your website, not impressed
Despite the name, this place is no longer welcoming - and we won’t be back! It definitely used to be the best place on the river but now, instead of it being a welcoming restaurant where you had good service and great food (Szechuan dishes were actually spicy hot!) it’s now not much more than a take-out place. You have to order and pay ahead, and then you get your food on disposable plates with disposable cutlery. If you want water, you have to buy bottled water - with no glasses, only a straw.
We don’t live in the area anymore but for many years after we moved, we always looked forward to going there when we returned home. We won’t waste our time or money going again. Such a shame. Thankfully, there’s Namaste across the river - our new go-to.

Nothing tasted good. You have to pay ahead...The reviews don't reflect the actual restaurant. Would have saved $70.

This was the worst place I have ever eaten. It felt surreal how bad everything was. I was sitting in my car laughing afterwards having paid 32 dollars for what amounted to a Sobeys reheated dinner. The service process was weird, had to fill out an intake form and provide my full name to receive the goods. Grab any old table and wait for the yell to be summoned up for delivery.
The worst offender was the hot and sour soup, it was a gelatinous blob with boot leather chicken (maybe pork???) and was the least appetizing thing I have ever laid eyes on. An off yellow mucus with mystery flesh. The rest was just their combo D which like I said was effectively just reheated mess they charge you for. My suggestion if you ever have to eat in Mirimachi would be MacDonalds or something it’s a desolate place for foodstuffs that’s for sure. The lady behind the counter was at least nice but I think she wasn’t happy with the setup either.
Avoid and do not tempt it.

Arguably the best-tasting Chinese food in Miramichi. However, it is also the most expensive, with a $5 charge to upgrade your chow mein to beef and broccoli. Additionally, the restaurant is rarely open. I would recommend considering other options, as this establishment has gone from being great to unreliable since it’s hardly ever open.
