I came to this restaurant about 3 weeks ago and had a great experience, which is why I decided to return. Unfortunately, this time was a complete disappointment.

I ordered Mee Goreng Mamak and received my food in less than 3 minutes. Immediately, I noticed something was wrong — the noodles were hot but the chicken was cold. That is a serious concern for food safety. When I raised the issue, even other customers mentioned their food was cold. The cook took my plate back, claiming he would make a fresh one.

When the dish was returned, it was very clear that it had simply been reheated. Parts of the food were burned and the quality was unacceptable. This is not how a professional kitchen should operate. Serving cold chicken is dangerous, and trying to cover it up with reheating is even worse.

I will be giving this restaurant 1 star and will be filing a complaint with health and safety. I strongly warn other customers to think twice before eating here, as food safety and quality standards are clearly not being taken seriously.

I went in for Malaysian food to relive some memories from back when I was in Malaysia. Their food is very delicious! During my visit, I found their staff to be friendly and the ambiance to be very pleasant. In fact they had some piano instrumentals playing in the background. Though the don't have Nasi Lemak, you can find a wide variety of good dishes to pleasure your taste buds. I recommend this place.

We visited Moncton for 4 days and ate here twice (lunch and dinner)! It was that good! We would have made it a daily staple, but we only ate there on our third day. The service was excellent and the food was amazing! The Cinta salad and roti apps are a must try (order a roti per person). We had 3 different noodles dishes and they were all exceptionally tasty. They spice level is pretty spot on for people not accustomed to spice (they don’t change the spice level of their dishes - good for them!). If you have to pick just one restaurant to eat while in Moncton, you should definitely consider this one. We look forward to our next visit.

I had never tried Malaysian food before, but I stumbled across this gem while visiting Moncton and staying nearby. I started with the Laksa Soup (a smaller, appetizer-style version of their Curry Laksa without noodles), and it was full of flavour.

For my main, I had the Beef Rendang with coconut milk rice. While I didn’t really catch much of the usual coconut flavour in the rice, the dish as a whole was still very enjoyable. Tender beef and well balanced spices.

I ended the meal with the Custard Buns, which were absolutely perfect. Soft, warm, and just sweet enough.

On top of the great food, the service was excellent. The waitresses were kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. I’d highly recommend Cinta Ria to anyone curious about Malaysian cuisine, or just looking for a great meal. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

A Hidden Gem for Authentic Malaysian Cuisine

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while scrolling through Google reviews during a road trip from New York to Nova Scotia. The uniquely Malaysian names on the menu immediately caught my attention—and I’m so glad they did. This place is a true gem.
Yes, it’s Malaysian—not Chinese, not Indian—and the distinction is clear in the flavors. The food was exceptional: incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and seasoned with just the right balance of spice and oil. Unlike many Asian restaurants where dishes can be overly greasy or heavy, every plate here felt clean, light, and full of depth.
The restaurant itself was spotless, which gave me immediate confidence in the kitchen and overall operation. Service was just as impressive—the staff were polite, warm, and attentive from beginning to end.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the heart behind it. I accidentally left my iPad behind, and the owner kindly came in outside of business hours just so I could retrieve it. During our short conversation, I was struck by her kindness, intelligence, and dedication to introducing authentic Malaysian cuisine to the local community.
I left not only satisfied with an amazing meal, but also deeply appreciative of the hospitality and integrity. Highly recommended—for the food, for the service, and for the people who make this place special. I’ll absolutely be back if I pass by this city. Hope I do.
