The food is fantastic in terms of portion, price, and taste. We ordered the Ramen, two portions of sushi, and an appetizer. We were so full we needed to get to takeout box. Service is great.

I ordered on skip the dishes tonight, just some salmon sashimi since I was making something with raw fish at home. Thank god I wasent eating it as sashimi, it was filled with fish bones! Most of the 15$ order was unusable.

This was bad. Based on the reviews we thought it would be decent but probably some of the worse sushi I have ever had. When we walked in our instinct was to walk out but we didn’t. Instead we sat in a freezing cold restaurant with terrible early 2000s pop music blasting. The miso soup was by far the worse I’ve had. Bad aftertaste, luke warm, old tasting. The rolls were sloppy and had way too much mayo. Sashimi and other rolls mediocre and uninspired. Both of us felt sick afterwards. How does this place have a 4.5/5 star rating??

A Cozy Culinary DelightIf you find yourself wandering the streets of Moncton, with a craving for sushi that is both delightful and unpretentious, Japan Go Sushi awaits you with open doors. This modest establishment, nestled conveniently on Main Street, is a gem for those who favor simplicity and quality in their sushi experience. On a day marked by a brisk, long walk, my son's yearning for squid balls steered our path towards this new venture. The restaurant, though compact, radiates a welcoming ambience. Its décor strikes a fine balance - not overly adorned, yet suffused with enough elements to evoke a serene Asian dining atmosphere. Our meal commenced with beverages - a green tea for my son and a diet soda for myself. While the tea didn't quite meet my son's preference, known for his fondness of Orange Pekoe and Earl Grey, I found it quite to my liking. A complimentary Miso Soup soon followed, swiftly served with a warm smile. It proved to be a comforting start to our meal on that crisp day.The heart of our culinary exploration was the Takoyaki (Squid Balls) and Spicy Tuna Rolls. The Takoyaki, drenched in a sauce akin to sweet hoisin, was rich and indulgent. We both appreciated the dry fish on the side, adding a contrasting texture to the dish. While my son found the richness a tad overwhelming and the squid slightly tougher than anticipated, I enjoyed them thoroughly. The Spicy Tuna Rolls were the star of our meal. Perfectly balanced in rice and fish, with a just-right drizzle of sauce, they were a unanimous hit. Regrettably, we couldn't finish it all, but the leftovers promised a delightful meal for my wife later. In conclusion, Japan Go Sushi in Moncton is a splendid choice for sushi lovers. With its excellent food, amiable service, and reasonable pricing, it has quickly become a favored spot for me. Despite my son's minor reservations about the richness of some dishes, he too relished the experience. Japan Go Sushi is a must-visit for anyone seeking a cozy, authentic sushi dining experience in Moncton.

Ordered doordash a few nights ago. I LOVE mayo… I’m the kind of person who dips their fries in it… but the Texas roll was SLATHERED in it. I had to wipe it off and it took at least five paper towel squares that were soaked. So then we get to eating it… my mom spits out her second piece. There is a fish bone in it. We dissect it and the shrimps are grey. The Unami roll looked equally as rotten and I didn’t eat it. The salmon sashimi was THICK slices and did not look sushi grade. The berry and avocado salad had brown fuzz all over the avocado. Worst sushi experience. Acquired a refund (minus tips and tax) and threw it out. I used to live in Toronto and have been eating sushi since I was six. I have never received rolls and sashimi that look like this. Hoping it was a one off but do not recommend.

I've been here two times. The first, we experienced great service and wonderful portions, it was a comparison to Halifax sushi restaurants, and let me tell you japan go sushi in Moncton competes and wins on all levels! The second time, my wife and I came, get this on the way back from Halifax to pick up Togo sushi for the kids. Again they accomodated and were amazing. I can't express how much you need to come here!

We were introduced to this place by a young man on YouTube. The food looked absolutely amazing and the gentleman gave it great reviews ! We said that if we ever went to Moncton, this would be one place we would would DEFINITELY try. And so glad we did, we tried the Baked Scallop Roll ! OH MY GOODNESS ! By far the BEST dish I have every eaten ! Each ingredients of this dish complimented the other ! Absolutely DELICIOUS! My compliments to the chef ! I would highly recommend trying Japan Go Sushi, and I will DEFINITELY be going back !

Pad Thai noodles soggy/over cooked and had vegetable sticker still on the yellow pepper. Got the dish comped and an apology sushi roll. Asked what the roll was and was told it was yam, avocado, and cucumber. After eating a piece I realized it was actually salmon. Being a vegetarian for the last 6 years I was quite upset and nothing else was done besides a surface level "sorry'. Won't be back.
