We had Family over and decided to go to Jean's for supper, our waitress was nice but we waited an hour and a half for our meal, I'm not sure why it took so long as it wasn't overly busy also other tables were being served before ours I'm thinking there must of been a mixed up on when the orders were coming in, we use to go there a lot but now the food isn't the best anymore and the service has gone down hill.

A friend and I had supper there recently and I have to say that it wasn’t very good. I don’t know what happened if it’s just this evening, but the fries were absolutely horrible. The food was lukewarm at best, although the appetizer of fried mushrooms were quite good.
The waitress was quite nice, but not very attentive to be honest. She was polite, but they seemed to be doing a lot of chatting at the front desk versus looking after their tables.

On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Whether it’s a quick bite or a leisurely morning meal, Jean’s never disappoints. A true local gem!

My review has changed a bit since last time It is still Very expensive. The portions are better than last time they somewhat fill you up. They have daily specials that are a decent price, on the weekend they have a breakfast special. Restaurant can be busy at key points in the day Friday to Sunday evenings can be extremely busy, The wait for a table could be up to 30 mins. The atmosphere of the restaurant is ok. It is often loud and it does not help that a bar is located next to the resturant. The dessert options are good, sometimes pie crust is hard and you can't eat it and it makes it very disappointing for the price. All in all the restaurant is ok and prices are normal compared to others.
Had whole clams, think they were the best I've ever had!

My wife and I went to Jeans yesterday in the afternoon.
She got a crispy cesar chicken wrap with mashed potatoes while I got a 3 piece chicken with fries, a roll, and veggies.
Our waitress seemed nice, but not attentive at all.
My wife's potatoes were Luke warm, but she said nothing as they were not cold.
My chicken was great, and the top layer of my fries were great.
The bottom is where it all went down hill!
The water from the carrots and peas had gone into my fry area which made soggy fries.
By the time I noticed the 1 time Our waitress did attend I said we were okay as I had not gotten to the bottom yet.
We did not see her again until the bill.
I did bring it to one older ladies attention and right away she became hostile and her once sweet voice changed.
She did nothing and Our waitress came over who was once a sweet lady, but once I voiced my issue she could care less and became rude and hostile.
She wouldn't do anything stating I had already ate my food and she asked if we needed anything and I didn't say anything then.
I told her that I didn't reach my bottom layer of my fries and the veggies were bland and gross.
I stated that I'll pay this time, but won't be back and the response I got was "that's fine" as she walked away.
I stated to her "is that how you treat your customers", but she kept walking.
We have been here before and never any issues or complaints despite Luke warm potatoes before.
2/5 stars and they only get two as my wife's wrap was delicious she said.
Perhaps these ladies should retire as speaking to customers like that will not get them coming back.
