Went here on a friend's recommendation - had lunch - the service was good but the food not so much! Items ordered were pancakes and a donair wrap - the pancakes were not great, they were huge, covered the whole plate, there were three, a complete waste of food. The donair came with sauce on the side which was strange. Expensive for this quality of food - won't go back!

Our favourite style restaurant is a well established Mom and Pop atmosphere. The food was terrific, service great , and the staff was cheerful. We shared the time with close family members. Enjoyed immensely. We'll definitely be back !

I wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit. I ordered the BBQ hamburger, but it didn’t have any BBQ sauce as stated on the menu. The meal wasn’t hot or cold — more lukewarm — and the portion of fries was quite small. I had to send it back because there was no sauce at all. The waitress offered to bring me sauce on the side, but I declined since it wouldn’t taste the same, and I requested a new one. I was also surprised that she asked to take the original hamburger back, possibly to show the cook.

The coleslaw that came with the meal was also bad the cabbage had a spoiled taste and odor, indicating it wasn’t fresh.

My friend ordered the seafood platter, which was overly fried, and the fish had an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the soft drinks were $4.25 each before tax, but that price wasn’t listed on the menu so just for two pops, the total came to $9.75.

Lastly, the restaurant’s cleanliness and appearance were disappointing. There was a lot of dust on the speakers and ceiling tiles, and the decor seemed very outdated.

Should also have radio on louder.

Best home cooking anywhere hands down. They make The Homestead, Hynes restaurant and Steve's Diner feel like your eating at YuckDonalds.

Great breakfast, very busy when 8 was there on a Saturday but the service and food were great. Don't be in a hurry during a busy time that's all.

No stars, do not eat here, no service, waited a long time to order drinks, waited over an hour for our food, during that time the waitress wouldn't come over and refill our drinks and we never got our food.. ended up leaving without getting any food was very hungry went down the road to Swiss chalet and they treated us much better

First came here on advice of a coworker and come back now and then when we are in Moncton and looking for a sit-down old fashioned meal.

This is the place to go if you want something like a hot sandwich or a hamburger platter.

I find the prices reasonable and the food good.

Jean's is one of those restaurants that makes you feel right at home. Great food, great service and a big restaurant that's always full.

Tried Jean's for the first time last night based on the mostly high reviews.

The good: great location, lots of parking, lots of seating inside, our server was extremely friendly and the service was good with the exception of....

The not so good: the entire experience was nearly two hours, including a 50 minute wait for food - it was a Friday night, so maybe it was busier than usual, but there were lots of staff

The okay: the food was good, but didn't blow me away...it was kind of luke warm. The hot sauce that I got on the side with my chicken burger stole the show

Overall, I'd rate this more between a 3.5-4 star experience.

That being said, I'd definitely go back another time to try again.
