The food was good. The staff was nice. Took a long time to get drinks, but if you don't mind, the wait worth it. Blackberry briar is amazing.

Had our first visit and will be back for sure. Our server Chris was amazing and the manager was very kind. I had the Seafood Spaghetti and my wife had the Salmon...she mentioned she may leave me for it.

The mood in this restaurant is dark and sultry. Unfortunately my experience was as smooth. Not wanting to make this a long review all I can say is that I would pass on the meatballs (which were hard) and the cioppino which once you remove the very small mussels from the shells, the rest amount to a cup of tomato soup. There are 2 small shrimps and the lobster is the size of half a thumb. But the real problem for me was that the 2 shrimp which looked plump but were definitely funky tasting. As I write this I hope I don’t get sick.
Service was ok but I had to actually look up what % of people take sugar with their espresso and it’s approx 40%. So why do they deliver the espresso and even after asking for sugar, they never come back. And by the time they do, the coffee is cold. It was “on the house” but I would have preferred to pay double for an espresso that was hot and came with sugar. These 2 dishes with a bottle of sparkling water and tip - $78.00! So not worth it.
I’m sure they have other items that are good and the atmosphere is nice so go, but try something else.

It's *alright*.

The food is just average. I've eaten there a handful of times since their opening and I think the quality has lowered a bit recently. Or maybe I was unlucky with my meal choices.

Staff is friendly and polite. I don't know if it's due to the layout, but even at only two-thirds apparent capacity the restaurant is very loud, which can be unpleasant for some.

All in all I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless you really want to stay within the Mapleton area. Personally, I don't think I'll be returning.

What an incredible experience! It was my first time into Sophia & Spritz, we were promptly seated and had Nicole as our server. She was on top of everything, went above and beyond.

My 14 year old son and I loved our dinner here. The salmon was delicious and cooked perfectly. My son had the 10 oz sirloin steak. He said it was even better than the steak at The Keg and that he "would return over and over again just to have this steak". He finished every bite on his plate, even all of his vegetables! He also had the peach punch which he loved. We always enjoy when restaurants offer a selection of interesting mocktails and this bartender certainly does.

For dessert, we ordered both the Capris Lime Pie and the Chocolate Mousse Dome. We both liked the Capris Lime Pie the best! It was very good.

The service was excellent too. The menu is quite large but our waitress, Erin, guided us through it and helped us to make excellent choices. The manager, Sebastien, also stopped by to visit our table to check on us and say hello.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised because I had eaten at Sophia & Spritz when it originally opened and I wasn't overly impressed with food. Howecer, the restaurant has definitely improved over time because this visit did not disappoint. We look forward to returning again.

Located on the ground floor of a hotel lobby is Sophia and Spritz, a charming venue with a warm and inviting ambiance. The menu offers a modern Italian cuisine with some classic Canadian dishes.

The warm herby bread served with dipping oil and vinegar was a delightful starter. However, the main courses were somewhat underwhelming and lacked in flavor, although the presentation was still commendable.

The desserts, on the other hand, were exceptional and truly the highlight of the meal.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pasta

9-day motorcycle summer vacation trip, and on day 6, we found ourselves here. We were seated by some obnoxious Heisenberg looking dude that was the evenings entertainment and the greatest waiter ever!! The food was a 10/ 10. The drinks were a 10/ 10. The service was an 11/10. That burger was definitely top 2, maybe even number 1 of my search for the ultimate burger. It's truly a masterpiece. The Roman salad was the best salad I've ever experienced.
The Blackberry Brier and Amaro whiskey sour were the best drinks ever to this date. We live 15 hours away and would/will drive back just for this place. Chef Ramsey has nothing on this place. You all made our trip on that evening unforgettable. Thank you, Thank you, I looked so forward to writing this review. Applause to all.....Bravo!!
