We had a gift certificate for that restaurant given to us. We specifically went there for that reason. After the meal, we were advised that sorry, our computer system doesn't take certificates. We had to pay the whole bill. Two things ; one give notice or a discount because it wasn't working and second, it's our money they are withholding. We are from Fredericton and made the trip in large part because of the gift certificate. I think it is disrespectful.
I cannot say enough good things about St James’ Gate on Church Street in Moncton. After being left in the out in the rain (pretty much literally) by another restaurant in town where our reservation made in February and was cancelled by them without notice… St. James’ Gate took in our party of 19 with only a few hours' notice.
