Had a great experience at the newly renovated Taj Mahal Moncton. The chicken curry was rich and flavourful, perfectly paired with fresh naan. The tandoori chicken was tender and well-spiced, and the fried rice complemented the meal nicely. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Definitely a solid spot for authentic Indian food in Moncton!

We visited Taj last Sunday. We have been visiting this place for over ten years now but this time our experience was really bad. We went there for dinner and the restaurant was empty. The service was below par, the food was served cold. The waitress behavior seemed rude. The food didn't taste as good as it usually does. Not sure if the management changed but we really liked this place. Not sure if we would visit this place again in future.

Amazing food and service. Authentic Indian cuisine and great atmosphere. The staff is kind, professional and knowledgeable. I had chicken tikka masala with rice and garlic naan. The food was reasonably priced and very delicious.

Today i had amazing dinner with my family, it was my birthday. We went there for very first time but we enjoyed every single bite of the food which was so incredible and recommended by the server. Environment was so good, food was outstanding, server was very friendly and polite.

Went there today on 29th June, 2025. The food was good and server was okay too. I tried this restaurant for the first time.
Few things that I don’t like or can be better for future reference :
1. Although Indian music was expected, the main dining has a sweet background sound which is perfectly fine but there’s a loud music coming from kitchen that makes the atmosphere terrible. It’s just mixing and ain’t hearing either of them. Would be nice if kitchen music is either kept low or no music there in kitchen or just play one either in dining hall or kitchen 😑
2. We ordered Salad along with app and mains plus drinks but chillis seems to be missing as it was mentioned in the menu. The server just brought it to the table without even saying that full salad isn’t available or do we prefer something else other since full isn’t available? Upon asking, she just says we don’t have chillis. So, just brought half things and don’t say anything.
I might consider going to this establishment again giving it the benefit of doubt that it was closing in 1.5 hrs maybe that’s the reason. But for sure client experience needs to be improved.

Best place for east Indian food in Moncton/Dieppe!! I haven’t been to India but I’ve had curries in the UK and they know heat! Every time I order I ask ‘Give me some heat, don’t be shy’ and do they ever deliver (all other places ignore this request). We ordered a chicken vindaloo dish one evening and it so reminded me of the heat that knocked my socks off in the UK! Their gravy is simmered to perfection, it is thick and not watery like so many other places, and the flavour certainly packs a punch. If you get a craving like I do from time to time for East Indian food, give them try.
Wow, ordered chicken Kadai this evening and it was amazing (love the heat)!! Their Dahl was smooth and succulent.
