I wasn't sure where I was going to eat. I walked into the establishment for one restaurant in particular, and while waiting decided to turn and read The Latin Corner's menu.
I was greeted by the wonderfully charming Ulises asking how I was, to which I replied hungry but not picky, my only requirement is delicious food.
Let me tell you. He did not disappoint. I picked the Reina Arepa (chicken salad with avocado mixed in), to which he suggested I add the soup for a combo.
I was hungry, and needed some brain food. So I took him up on it. I'm not usually a fan of coriander (I'm one of "them"); but the version he put in his soup along with the optional capers and cream, was simply amazing. No better words. Savory. Sweet. A chicken chowder at its simplest and finest.
By the time I was slurping down my last drop of soup, my Arepa was ready, and Ulises brought it out to me while I sat. I wanted to take a picture before I bit into it, but I was a bit too eager to taste it.
His Pico is classic and not too vinegary, something which I find can happen sometimes because of the lemon juice. (Not flavor, I'm talking about acidity).
His homemade corn dough flatbreads are sweet and fluffy, while still being dense enough to fill you up easily by the last few bites of the sandwich.

10/10 will try again. Next time I'll be trying the Pernil though! It looked so good!

My family had the most wonderful meal at the Moncton Market when we ordered the mixed tacos from The Latin Corner. Everything was fresh, deliciously spiced, and intensely flavourful! The owners were friendly and kind - it was a real pleasure talking to them. When we had our order we ate at a picnic table outside the market building, but I think next time we will take our tacos and walk a little further and eat by the side of the river. We will be back!

I just left this place, first visit and it was spectacular. We tried the chicken arepa, called "la Reina" and the pork "de pernil", both delicious. The arepa was super soft, the filling well reported and excellent seasoning. It is very appreciated to have options to eat with a homemade flavor, other than fried food. Special thanks to Ulises for the excellent attention. All the success in the world for this delicious restaurant ??

I'm honestly not happy about paying for a shredded beef empanada and never finding a piece of meat inside. Instead, it was filled entirely with mashed potatoes, very much in the Colombian style. It's quite disappointing because they advertise selling Venezuelan empanadas, yet there's no sign of the meat. I don't plan on returning, let alone recommending this place. Best of luck to others.
