I would call it Korean ramyeon rather than Japanese ramen. The noodles are softer and less flavourful. Granted I didn’t exactly order a traditional ramen either. The menu leans more Korean overall. Loved the chashu tho. Good portions, lovely service.

Ramen was okay. I find the broth wasn’t rich enough for a tonkotsu.

I had the opportunity to live out west in Vancouver and Calgary for over 20 years, so I’ve been fortunate to experience many different restaurants. I’ve also had a chance to visit Japan on a snowboarding trip. Going out for Ramen has been my go-to.
I’ve dined at Tokai Ramen both solo and with company a number or times already, and ordered differently each time. Ramen broth can make or break a noodle house. It provides the flavour, aroma, and textures. Tokai Ramen absolutely nailed it.
