Very conveniently beside the new river beach campground and beach. Our camp stove stopped working and there weren’t fires allowed until 8pm so we were so grateful to be able to come here and get hot food! Staff really friendly and nice to us, or kids and dog, the kids loved the playground by the restaurant. There were kids meals on the menu and they loved the monster cookie ice cream! The views of the water were beautiful. Would recommend.

Ordered a lobster roll, and it was delicious. Packed with fresh lobster alongside homemade coleslaw and garnished fries.... unbelievable.... definitely recommend

We stopped by New River Beach while on vacation from another province. This quaint little place has a welcoming atmosphere and I really enjoyed all their beach themed decor. The staff was friendly, and the food absolutely divine. We weren't expecting much when we ordered, but it was so delicious and delightfully crispy, that it far exceeded our expectations! The prices were also quite reasonable, compared to what we're used to at home. We got chicken fingers with fries and a side of deep fried pickles. The pickles were the best I've ever had and I will be dreaming of them until I can one day return down here. Highly recommend!

When this place was originally reopened a few years ago many people including myself couldn't stop going on about how great it was. Each visit has been a seriously diminished experience ever since. I'm a local and I'm intimately familiar with what fair seafood prices are and I can confidently tell you that they're going to rob you blind. Not just that but they've gone from great portions at a fair price to absolutely pitiful portions for more money. $4 for a big8 water? The whole case likely cost $4-$6.
The wait was reasonable considering how busy it was and the front desk staff were pleasant. $93 for 3 adults from a takeout just made me near faint.
Great fish and chips and poutine. They also serve ice cream and alcoholic beverages. Beautiful view of New River Beach and lots of outdoor seating.
Parking: Entrance to the park costs money, however some people chose to park on the road and walk in.

My first ever Slush Puppy experience yesterday… Sour Strawberry was SO GOOD (Better than the Cherry in my opinion)!! Either flavour would be amazing if you add a shot from their bar!!! 🤤 🤤 🤤
My partner had the quesadillaand fry combo. He absolutely loved it, lots of filling including bacon..the fries had a spice that he loved. The adult slush with rum, was super delicious and refreshing on a hot day. Lots of picnic tables with umbrellas. We loved the live music, which we have experienced there before! New River takeout is always a must stop when visiting New River, be it for a beach day or a camping trip. Poutine is always a must as well.. prices are a little on the high side the last couple years, but as with everything right now, that is the norm.

This place is pretty much beach food perfection. All the classics that you want on a beach day, from beer or wine to hotdogs and burgers. The price are reasonable and all of the food is cooked in a way that you know they love and care about what they are doing. Super crispy lightly battered fries, and hot dog buns that are toasted in the pan with some butter or something just for that extra something. Little details like this that you love to see and legitimately make the food so much better.
It's just a quality beach restaurant blessing.
Also worth mentioning that the staff are the best. We asked what time they close and they told us 7pm, but that we could even walk in at 7 and order if we wanted.
They were also very accommodating to my friend who is severely gluten intolerant and they pan fried the fish.
Only critique is that the dogs could be upgraded a bit. They're pretty small and basic lol.

We went to see the sand sculptures and thought we'd grab food first. After a 2 hour wait our food still wasn't out and we had to leave for another time sensitive engagement. Had they told us there was a 2 hour+ wait we would have gone to the beach and cone back. Well be eating before we come in the future
