I would give them a 5 star if they gave us more salsa with our chips. Its literally a big tablespoon for 2 people. I had the quesadilla club with avocado dressing. Its to die for. My frozen margarita tasted like more lol.

We had an excellent experience at Mexi’s! The chicken fajitas and steak tacos were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Our waitress, Alexis, was very friendly and provided outstanding service throughout our meal. The margaritas were fantastic, and the restaurant itself was spotless and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Update 8/7/2025: decided to go in and try the new menu two months ago…we’ve been back three times since. The staff are great. The menu is pretty yummy. The first time back in, our guacamole was frozen in the in the middle (like they possibly use frozen avocados…that’s what I do at home), but the flavors and everything else was yummy. Lots of flavour. The margaritas no longer taste like they are made with premix that is full of sugar with no liquor. The staff are friendly and our kids love the kid menu. Lots of veggie options, lots of variety but still on theme and not too overly priced. Desserts are delicious.
Previous review from well over a year or two ago: We have been here for over a decade and never been into Mexis. We were excited for some yummy Mexican food for Cinco De Mayo. We are a family of mostly vegetarian, but with Mexican, as long as the flavor is there beans and gaucamole can go a long way. The staff when we entered (and through out the whole adventure) we’re friendly and seemed to like their jobs. The atmosphere was inviting. The art on the wall is so fun. The menu was very accomadating for vegetarians. That excited us. We ordered a double margarita each. I ordered the loaded fries with veggie chili instead of meat. My partner ordered the veggie chili. For an app we got the fried avocado. They were delicious. The margaritas were premix…I couldn’t taste triple sec or tequila and it was too sweet. The loaded fries comes with queso sauce, but I didn’t see or taste any on mine (even questioned the waitress) and the meal seemed a little bland. My partners vegetarian chili tasted like tomato paste with no flavor really. Made us kind of sad. So much potential…just some herbs and spices could fix it. The shining light for us was dessert and it didn’t disappoint. Fried ice cream and churros for the win!

Had an amazing experience at Mexi’s! The service was excellent—everyone was super friendly and attentive. The place itself is beautiful, with a great vibe and fantastic music. The food was absolutely delicious, and the desserts were out of this world. The cheesecake and the chocolate torte are a must-try! On top of all that, the prices were really reasonable. Can’t wait to go back!
Sharing my experience from July 1st 2025 - we decided to venture out of the city / out of the fog and enjoy a restaurant in KV. Mexi’s was our first choice and the first time we’ve ever been. Upon walking in we were seated by a host, but 12 minutes went by before someone else came with 2 water, she said “what can I get yas for a drink” , no hello, no introduction … we told her our drink order but she was gone quicker then we could get words out to say we could order too. There was only 4 tables and by observing we realized quickly everyone else was waiting to order still except 1 table and they were all there before us. We decided due to the high prices of all the food (which I don’t mind paying with good service) and the poor service we would go elsewhere. Cask & Kettle KV got our business instead.

We went for taco Tuesday. and had called ahead and were told all tacos were on sale tonight , only to find out only 3 types were on sale. We ordered the Nachos to me it had a lot of beef but was made backwards with not a lot of cheese and the beef’s on top and cheese on the bottom which made the ground beef’s dry.The tacos were dry and just not good they needed lime and more sauce on the tacos. Service was very lacking The waitress seemed like she did not want to be there. She only came by once to ask us if everything was ok.
